Laura Gibson's philosophy is that if you look at a woman's eyes and hair color, you will find the colors that will always look good on her. For example, someone with blonde hair and blue eyes will look good in blues, greens and purples. You will usually find that these colors make up a large part of her wardrobe. The designs in each collection are created by Laura and a small design team. Every piece is hand–wire-wrapped or strung onto 21 strands of coated stainless steel by their skilled production team. Upon completion, each piece goes through a rigorous quality control process that verifies the security of each closure and wrap.

Gibson began her professional life as a sales and marketing specialist with IBM. A casual visit to the internationally renowned Tucson Gem Show resulted in Laura finding her true passion, designing handcrafted jewelry with rare and exotic gemstones. As she worked from her design studio in Tucson, Arizona, the demand created for her colorful jewelry soon led to the official launch of Laura Gibson in 1996. Today, Laura Gibson creations are carried by galleries and fine jewelers across the country.
