Step right up and win your prize, it's a fantastic train contest sponsored by your happy smiling train forum mods dominicsmommy and chitownmelli!

This contest begins with the conductors, and everyone else is eligible for a prize, too - we know that not everyone likes to conduct, but those of you who do, and those who have been waiting to get their feet wet - now is the time if you want to win a prize! We are running this contest for 6 weeks exactly, trains that are already on the tracks do not count - this is only for trains that are posted after this thread is submitted!

Here's how it will work

Conductors:
You can keep conducting your trains as usual, of coarse sticking to the 3 at a time rule. The trains will still be approved in the same manner, there will just be one added step. You will be responsible for PMing me your rider list. Even if it has already been approved, you need to PM it to me directly in order to qualify, and here's why:

Riders:
At the end of the 6 weeks, I will be PMing you each individually and asking you which of the trains that I have you logged for was your favorite.

The conductor who had the most votes will be the Grand Prize winner!!! Also, all of the riders who were on the most popular train will be entered in a drawing for a prize, and everyone who played will also be eligible for some kind of prize! So, everyone has a chance no matter what your favorite seat on the train is!


Rules:

• In order for a train to qualify for the contest, the conductor must see the train through to the end. No MIA conductors will be eligible for a prize, no exceptions.

• A train that is still in the process of being completed at the end of the contest is still eligible to win as long as everything is going smoothly and the conductor is keeping up with the sent / received list at the beginning of their thread.

• Any rider who went MIA or was asked to leave a train ride because of lack of mailing or not posting (sent/ rec'd) will not be eligible for the drawing for the winning train.

• While sticking to the 3 train rule, you may conduct / ride as many trains as you are able to over the next 6 weeks. The more we see you around, the more chances you have to win!

• Conductors: remember to PM me your rider list at the beginning of your trains so I can add you to the running!

• Train forum mods are not eligible to win prizes for this contest - other mods are welcome to join in, you can win :)

Prizes:

Grand Prize: For the conductor who gets the most votes for best train - a big fat awesome potluck envie full of prizes from chitownmelli

1st prize: For a rider chosen at random from the winning train - a pretty sweet envie from dominicsmommy

2nd prize: 2 winners will be chosen at random from all who conducted or rode a train over the past 6 weeks - they will receive potluck envies from either me or dominicsmommy.

Well, you certainly are eligible to win one of the "rider" prizes - and you have time, this is a 6 week contest, so if you collect enough feedback in the next couple of weeks to sign up to conduct I hope that you will :)

This sounds fun! I wouldn't mind conducting, I am just not real creative, I'm afraid mine would be pretty boring lol but maybe I have a shot from being a rider :) Thanks for the great contest!!!

You don't have to do anything fancy, rebecca. Those of us who conduct them all the time just like to keep ourselves on our toes, as well as the riders! People are plenty happy to ride a plain 'ol train where you mail to a certain # of people on a certain day. A theme and a funny catch is just a bonus ;)
