This year the dream home is located in Winter Park, CO. Grand Prize is made up of the home, a GMC Acadia, and $250,000, total of over $2.5million.

I caught the last few minutes of the special last night, and this house is one of the best I've seen since they started this 1997. Has 2 guest rooms, a guest area, and a bedroom with 2 bunk beds for the kids. An area of the garage has been converted for all the ski equipment storage. It's located in a small 20 home community called Bridgers Cache. The community has a club house with a fitness room, sauna/spa, etc.

The best/funnest feature I think is you can ski right out of your house, go to the Mary Jane ski trail, and when you reach the bottom you're in your own backyard.

All non-winning entries from a Weekly Prize Drawing will be eligible for subsequent Weekly Prize Drawings. The names of the prospective Weekly Prize Winners may be posted on the HGTV Website within two (2) business days of each Weekly Prize Drawing. Entrants whose names are posted on the HGTV web site as the Weekly Prize Winners are not eligible to receive a prize until the verification process has been completed and they have complied with all requirements imposed on winners set forth herein. All Weekly Prize Winners will be sent a letter via certified mail within two (2) business days of each Weekly Prize Drawing which will provisionally inform them that they have won and will be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability and publicity (where permitted by law), and return same, fully-executed, within five (5) days of issuance of prize notification, and such Weekly Prize Winners may be filmed and used on-air by Main Sponsor. (B) Grand Prize Drawing: The Grand Prize Winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the entire Sweepstakes Period on or about February 26, 2007 by Ritway, Inc., an independent judging organization ("Sweepstakes Administrator"). The odds of winning the Grand Prize depends upon on the number of eligible entries received for the entire Sweepstakes Period.

Grand Prize Winner Notification: Main Sponsor anticipates that the potential Grand Prize Winner will be contacted in person on or about the week of March 18, 2007 in the form of a live visit by Main Sponsor representatives and such potential Grand Prize Winner may be filmed during such live visit by Main Sponsor. Potential Grand Prize Winner will be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability and publicity (where permitted by law), and return same, fully-executed, within five (5) days of date of issuance of prize notification. Main Sponsor may require the potential Grand Prize Winner to travel at Main Sponsor’s expense to the 2007 HGTV Dream Home for publicity purposes on or about March 23, 2007. If Main Sponsor is unable to contact any potential Grand Prize Winner within five (5) days of the initial attempt, if any potential Grand Prize Winner fails to return all requested forms fully-executed by the specified date, or if any potential Grand Prize Winner fails to comply with these Official Rules, including traveling on the dates and times required by Main Sponsor, his/her place as a Grand Prize Winner will be forfeited at Main Sponsor’s discretion and an alternate Grand Prize Winner shall be selected. Main Sponsor also reserves the right to notify the potential Grand Prize Winner by overnight courier and/or telephone.

Main Sponsor and Sweepstakes Administrator’s decisions with respect to the prize winners and other matters pertaining to the Sweepstakes shall be final and binding. By entering into the Sweepstakes, each entrant consents to the use by Sweepstakes Entities and their designees of his/her name, his/her pet’s name, photograph (including photographs of his/her pet(s) submitted to HGTV, if applicable), likeness, biography, voice, performance and/or video (including any footage complied when the potential winners of the Grand Prize are contacted) for advertising and promotional purposes including "ambush style" on-air camera appearances to announce the prize winners on a date to be determined by Main Sponsor in or around March 2007 (or as otherwise set forth above) in any and all media, including online announcements now or hereafter known, worldwide and without limitation and without additional compensation, notification or permission, except where prohibited by law. In addition, participants in any of HGTV’s on-air presentations will be required to sign any agreements and releases designed by Main Sponsor with respect to their services and performances. Main Sponsor and its designees may exploit, edit, modify, and distribute any footage compiled during the period when HGTV’s potential Grand Prize Winner and/or Weekly Prize Winners are contacted, including, without limitation, the names and likenesses of any persons or locations embodied therein, in any and all media now known or not currently known, throughout the world in perpetuity without additional compensation, permission or notification to any Grand Prize Winner, Weekly Prize Winner, or any third party.

Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. If, in the Main Sponsor’s opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Sweepstakes, or if computer virus, bugs, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or technical difficulties or failures compromise or corrupt or affect the administration, integrity, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, the Main Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and void any entries submitted fraudulently, to modify or suspend the Sweepstakes, or to terminate the Sweepstakes and conduct a random drawing to award the prizes using all eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the termination date. Should the Sweepstakes be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, notice will be posted on the HGTV Website. Any attempt by an entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, HGTV reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of any prize winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

Prizes: Grand Prize: One (1) Grand Prize Winner shall win the Grand Prize consisting of the home at Winter Park, Colorado (the "Dream Home") that is featured in HGTV’s "Dream Home" special, plus home furnishings, merchandise, an automobile and $250,000.00 in cash. The home is valued at approximately $2,100,000.00 (includes structure, lot, and landscaping) as of October 31, 2006. All decisions related to the Dream Home shall be at Main Sponsor’s sole discretion. Actual value of Dream Home depends on market fluctuations. The home furnishings, merchandise, and the automobile consist of: (i) furniture and accessories (Approximate Retail Value "ARV": $125,000.00); (ii) a 2007 GMC Acadia (ARV: $45,465.00); and (iii) a Doggie Dream Home (ARV: $1,500). The $250,000.00 cash prize will be furnished by LendingTree, LLC. All home furnishings, merchandise, and the automobile will be selected by HGTV at its sole discretion. All home furnishings and merchandise will be delivered to the HGTV Dream Home at Winter Park, Colorado. The HGTV Dream Home shall be conveyed to the Grand Prize Winner without representations or warranties, express or implied, other than those, if any, provided by the contractor/developer ("Developer") from whom HGTV has agreed to acquire the Dream Home, and other than any applicable manufacturers’ warranties. Real estate transfer taxes, deed recording charges and closing costs, if not the obligation of the Developer pursuant to an agreement with HGTV (the "Home Contract") to acquire the home, shall be the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner, as will all future real estate taxes and other expenses related to the maintenance of the house. Title insurance and homeowner’s hazard and liability insurance shall be the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner. The Sweepstakes Entities shall not be responsible for construction delays and condition of title to home shall otherwise be as set forth in the Home Contract. For the automobile, the Grand Prize Winner is solely responsible for the taxes, registration, insurance (proof of which must be shown prior to the Grand Prize Winner taking possession of vehicle), license, pickup costs at the automobile dealership designated by General Motors Corporation and any other option not included on the stated model. Total ARV of Grand Prize is $2,521,965.00.

Weekly Prizes: Six (6) Weekly Prizes will be awarded in weekly drawings from among all eligible entries received. Each winner of a Weekly Prize will receive a Doggie Dream Home (ARV: $1,500 each). Total ARV of all Weekly Prizes is $9,000.00.

Total ARV of all Prizes in this Sweepstakes is $2,530,965.00.

General Prize Conditions: All costs, taxes, fees, and expenses associated with the acceptance and use of any element of a prize not specifically addressed above are the sole responsibility of the respective winner. All federal, state, and local taxes on prize are winner’s responsibility. Winner will be issued a 1099 tax form for the ARV of the prize. The specifics of all aforementioned elements of any prizes in the Sweepstakes shall be solely determined by Main Sponsor. Some restrictions may apply. Prizes cannot be transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash except at Main Sponsor’s sole discretion. Main Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any prize, or portions thereof, with a prize of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion.
