My mom has been doing this for years. I'm not sure what she has gotten out of it but she seems to enjoy getting the points! Can someone pm me the link for it please?

Another thing you can do, which I have done, is scan the stuff AT the grocery store. That way you do it an item at a time, and you're not rushing to get the frozen stuff into the freezer when you get home, etc. Just something to consider. You might feel like a dork, but if you're quick about it, probably no one will notice. I would take a few cards that explain the program, though, in case the manager comes over and asks what's up!

What DH and I WISH is that you could get some kind of report from them about the stuff you scan - like the prices of stuff, your buying trends, whatever... that woul dbe useful to have I think.

I signed up and got the scanner, but then after reading through all of the info I decided that it wasn't going to be worth my time to enter all of the coupons and everything. I sent it back without even hooking it up for the first time.

I just got my scanner yesterday and I can't see how this is going to be worth the time in the long run. I just talked to them and it does not matter if you scan 1 thing or 1000 in a week, you still get the same weekly points!

My mom said it took her awhile but she got a really nice radio/cd/cassette player from her points!

Default Re: Anyone do the Homescan Consumer Panel?

It's true that it's a lot of work...but it doesn't take me long to scan my purchases anymore.

My big shopping trips are usually grocery and I don't have to enter prices for Publix or Winn-Dixie. Any other shopping trips I do are generally pretty small and I usually remember the prices of my items anyway, so it's not hard to input things quickly.

There's also the fact that my DH loves to scan things. If he's home when I get home from the store, or if he goes, he'll usually have the scanner in his hand before I can even put down my purse. I let him go at it and then I put each item away as he scans. It actually makes the coming home and unpacking process easier for me than if we didn't scan.

I'd say it's definitely not worth it for someone with a busy schedule or multiple children, though. It's probably not even worth it for me...but I find it fun. It's more like a strange hobby.

I finally got my homescanner in today.....and I have to send it back because the ac adapter is buzzing, it shouldn't buzz! *sniff* I've waited since Oct to get this and now I'll have to wait longer for them to send me another one!

I had to send mine back twice. It really wasn't worth the time because my scanner kept goofing up

Default Anyone ever done ACNielsen/Homescan Consumer Panel?

The only requirement I see is that you scan the UPCs of all the purchases you make each week with a scanner THEY provide. I know AC Nielsen is legit, but unsure of this division and it's not listed on surveypolice.com so I thought I would run it by you guys. TIA.
