Re: Cashing Out Questions
If its a cash reward (like viewpoint forum), I wait until November to request my ck, then put the money towards Christmas. MyPoints, I just let it add up, then when I want a GC, request that. One year, I had enough to request a GC for everyone in my family for gifts. Of course that depleted my account, and its taken quite a while to build it back up since I don't online shop as much!

Re: Cashing Out Questions
I usually wait a little while with the ones I make a lot of money on, like Opinion Outpost, to cash out.
All the money I get via cash or paypal goes directly into a savings account for my son. He is 3 and I just decided that this extra money would be saved for him...
Otherwise, if amazon is available, I go with that b/c I can get tons of stuff at Christmas with it. And I agree, I cash out a lot of the gift card type sites at Christmas to help with gifts.

Re: Cashing Out Questions
For me there are a few factors. With Reward Port and SurveyHead, I cash out as soon as I can. I get paypal, the lowest denomination is $25, and it takes a full 6 weeks for it to be sent. With MySurvey, I wait until I get enough points for $20 paypal and then cash out. I have about $25 in Opinion Outpost, and I don't know what I'm waiting for yet. With Swagbucks, I usually have enough at the beginning of each month to buy 5 $5 Amazon gcs, and then I build up for the rest of the month to do the same again.
I look for these rewards - paypal, check, Amazon gc, other gcs. If paypal is not as good a deal as gcs, then I'll get the gc. MyPoints' $25 paypal is lik 4500 pts, but a $25 gc is 3750, so I get the gcs.
Last year, I saved the money for vacation. This year, all my survey earnings are going towards debt, specifically student loans.

Re: Cashing Out Questions
I've been cashing out as soon as I can. Cash is always my first choice, but if that isn't an option, I'll do Amazon or Paypal. I've already gotten over $100 in Amazon gc's which is great because that means my books for next quarter are paid for.
The only one I'm planning on waiting to cash out for is Reward Port. 4500 points for $10 Amazon gc, 7500 for $25.

Re: Cashing Out Questions
I only do Valued Opinions & Opinion Outpost. I cash out Opinion Outpost via check as soon as I hit $20 each time. In 2010, I used all of it for debt reduction. As of 2011, I have been putting this money into our savings account. I decided the sooner I cash out & make the deposit, the sooner that money can start earning interest vs just sitting in the Opinion Outpost rewards account. For Valued Opinions, I let it sit there until closer to Fall and then start cashing out via Amazon & use it towards Christmas gifts.
