Nervous about Pinecone changes!

I wouldnt download anything either. Our antivirus protection is there for a reason.
I'm always thinking w/ companies like this, if we download something, they could start spying on us.. i know i watch too much tv! lol
but.. still could be true!

As far, as the going down to 3 bucks, I wasn't happy about it, but ..
well 3 bucks is 3 bucks.
I like the surveys, I stay out of the sweeps. I've gotten some nice product testing from them. I do like the surveys, i mean think of it this way, most of them take less then 15 minutes to do.. so that means its
12 dollar, an hr job..not too shabby.

Ok, now ya got me paranoid about the whole spy thing....may be time to wipe the harddrive again Trend tells me everything is dangerous so I go by publisher's certificates and who it's being downloaded from. Hmmm maybe if I wiped the harddrive again I might be able to print SS coupons with a clean slate too!

I did exactly as you did,mama22qts. There is nothing more you can do if Trend won't let you do it. I did just about everything you can do and it just won't go thru. We'll see what happens.

I have had a paypal account forever because I buy a lot of stuff and sell a lot of stuff on ebay! I also have the paypal debit card and I love using it!

Aha! I decided to investigate our lil software download. Basically this software is to help protect the confidential images we see during surveys from being copied, screenshotted, etc. by us. Why the flip didn't Pinecone just state that in the email? The software name is ArtistScope if you want to look for yourself. It also says something about limiting number of views/prints so I'm sure there's something similar in the coupon printing software. It also seems this software can do translation or something like that. I don't like how Pinecone wasn't just upfront about what exactly this software is. In the email I got it said it was to help "view" images but it's really to help "protect" images. Just thought yall might like to know what it is :D

Edit: My Trend identified everything with it as a virus during a scan. So I removed it and all it's corresponding lil buddies. It may be a legit program but they need to find one that my antivirus feels comfortable with

Yea I am *begrudgingly* going to make a Paypal account. It's just annoying to have a middle man in there between me and my moneys One thing I'm curious about, do you get charged a fee for getting your survey money this way since it is a form of payment? I read all the Paypal FAQ but couldn't get quite clear on that. And do you get charged a fee if you switch from the free personal account to the premier account at a later date? I wish they would make it more cut-and-dry in their FAQ, people like me are too tired and thick-headed to understand it all

I just got another survey from them today wanting me to answer questions about household stuff but not get paid for it
It says something about updating their system or something
I dont know...seems like they are trying to get away from having to pay for surveys

I could not download Artistscope. The website said there were errors. I emailed Pinecone but never received a response.

I, too, have noticed their lack of money paying surveys.
