Re: survey spot...what a scam
I've made about $80 with them. The checks are slow to come, but they have all come so far.

Re: survey spot...what a scam
Something about them raises red flags for me. They sent me a weight loss survey once and one of the survey questions was what email addy I had registered at the survey site with. I figured it was just a way for some spammer to get ahold of my email addy so I quit the survey right then. I've also noticed that their surveys contain misspellings and bad grammar; kind of reminds me of those Nigerian scam emails!

Re: survey spot...what a scam
Surveyspot hosts the surveys for other companies - these are not their surveys. I am assuming they get paid to put other companies' surveys out there and that's how they have money to do the drawings and special prizes.
There are legit survey companies fed through Surveyspot, so if one doesn't feel right, just skip it and look for another. I did an online focus group for a national donut restaurant and I tested body wash for a well-known company (they wouldn't tell me which one, but based on the smell of the body wash, I knew what it was). They've given me lots of surveys for OTX which also runs surveys on MyPoints.com, and I've done quite a few Big Research surveys, which Walmart uses to get feedback on upcoming advertising campaigns.
So... my experience so far has been pretty positive. Just skip the ones with typos or that seem shady. There are good ones in there.

Re: survey spot...what a scam
RE: re-entering your email address ... I haven't had to do this too often. Because the surveys are being fed through Survey Spot and aren't directly from them, it could be that some need your email address to follow up later. The only times I have had to enter my email address were for the donut and body wash surveys because they asked me to participate in focus groups based on my responses to the surveys. I don't know if Survey Spot gives them our email addresses - I think maybe they only get a participant ID.

Re: survey spot...what a scam
I just got a check from them on Friday for $69. I requested it a month ago, and have not any problems with them.

Re: survey spot...what a scam
I've been with Survey Spot for years and never had a problem with them. I've done product reviews and have always been paid on time.

Re: survey spot...what a scam
I don't like them. They send me emails for paid surveys, and I go through half the damn thing before it figures out I'm "not qualified". Sounds like a scam to me.
I just stick with pinecone.

Re: survey spot...what a scam
SCAM Survey Spot is a SCAM. I did 19 surveys today and Survey Spot only claim that I did ONE. They also must have given my E-mail out because I AM GETTING SLAMMED with Junk EMAIL. So much for them being Confidential!
SCAM. SCAM . DO NOT USE them. SCAM

Re: survey spot...what a scam
I've never had a problem with them when it comes to receiving checks or being credited. Just recently, I had a problem with a high value survey, it gave me an error, I emailed that night and the next day they sent me an email apologizing and credited my account the money owed.
I love that they send my money so quickly to my paypal account, its rare to see that. I do have to say that lately some of their payouts are ridiculous. 50¢ for a 20 minute survey? No thank you! But they're still a really good survey company.
