Default ACNielsen Homescan

Do any of you belong too the Homescan by Nielsen?
If you do you have a scanner from Nielsen. Do you scan every week? If you do, did you win any prizes for the 2008 year end?

I'm a member. They've sent me little things so far (jar opener, pocket flashlight). I haven't tried redeeming any points yet, though.

I did this for a few months and eventually quit and sent the scanner back. I didn't do it long enough to get any prizes, but the prizes don't seem that great anyway.

It was just too much work to scan everything. And this was PRE couponing. I couldn't imagine doing it now. After I am out shopping, I just want to come home and throw everything in the cupboards and park it right here in front of the computer.

Scanning the things you buy isn't that much work, its all the stuff you have to enter. More often than not I had to enter the price paid, was it on sale, did I use a coupon, etc. WAY to much work, especially if you have a lot of stuff. When I had to enter everything, I would say it took me roughly 20-30 seconds per item. That builds up quick.

The time it takes vs. the prizes you get=not worth it in my book.

I have been a member of Homescan for about 6 years. I have never won any prizes. I have done all the scanning every week, taken all the survey's, and built up my points but never been a winner of the big prizes. I'm fixing to hang it up.

I have been a member for a few years, but I am ready to stop now. It is a nice program if you have the time to scan everything that you buy. It is a lot more work than they make it out to be. I have redeemed points for a car adapter for my daughters DVD player so we could hear it through the stereo and a Coleman sleeping bag for my husband, which he loves. I will redeem for something else before I hang it up.

I've been doing it for 3 years and I don't find it to be that big a deal. Just part of my shopping routine. I've never won anything but I did redeem some points for a really nice vacuum. And it really came quickly once it was ordered. I enjoy this panel.

I did it for about 3 years and finally gave up. It was time consumming and tedious. After 3 years of scanning everything I purchased, I ended up with a small blanket with their logo on it, a small booklight, a small flashlight and a teeny tiny tool kit. It wasn't worth it, IMO.

I redeemed my first thing (as a sort of test). I got a nightlite that turns into a flashlight if the power goes out. It came really quick. I don't mind doing the scanning. Now I'm working towards the sandwich maker.
