The post that was removed was mines. I was trying to help figure out why some of the BOGO free coupons were working for some and not others.

I'll rephrase my so called "help" post so it doesn't get removed again...

For the ladies that are having "beeping" problems and manager intervention... are you buying the correct product? The coupon is for Vive Pro Nutrigloss (light pink bottles only) and not Vive Pro (any other color except for light pink bottles).

After doing multiple transactions at 2 different Giants, I realized what I was doing wrong when I was looking over my receipts at home (yep I usually sit down at the end of a shopping trip to re-evaluate all my receipts while recording it in my book) and why the coupons weren't working correctly sometimes. Giant's registers are very very smart and so it will reject the coupons if you buy the wrong items. So I guess if you ladies are having problems, look at your receipts to make sure it says "Vive Pro Nutrigloss (light pink bottles)". If your receipt does say this, then I'm at a loss. LOL... Just trying to help.

Since figuring this out, I haven't had anymore problems when I buy Vive Pro Nutrigloss.

okay, i have been buying 10 bottles at a time, using 5 coupons and using the self-scan. I scan my card after scanning the products and coupons and haven't had a problem doing this. i've used two different giants. Only one transaction out of about 6 did I have trouble with my coupons and that is when I tried to buy half nutri gloss and half style and body (with the appropriate coupons). the style and body coupons showed up as nutri gloss coupons in the register and then it wouldn't take any more after 3. so the next mixed transaction, i scanned the appropriate coupon directly after scanning those two products to make sure the coupons applied to the correct products.

the one time i tried to go through a cashier, i scanned my card first and the coupons beeped and the cashier refused to let me use them and then kept hassling me when I told him to just take them all off.

I did the exact same deal a few months ago and didn't have any problems then, no matter when i scanned my card.

I am shopping at a brand new giant, and their register will only give free if you do the coupons first, then your bonus card. However, I went to my older giant store to pick up a few more, and an experienced cashier told me that you MUST scan your bonus card before scanning write in value coupons (or any coupons). She did give me credit for three $4.99 q's. I have been shopping there for years, though, and told her I was donating them to charity (as the women's shelter was collecting outside Giant that day). I am not sure if that made a difference in her decision. She did have to manually enter them. I purchased ALL nutro gloss, the first time, because that is actually what I use, the second time, because I read the wording on the coupons.

WARNING: the B1G1F coupons do not scan on the bonus size bottles. I found some bottles at my store that were a "33%(?) bonus" size, but the register saw them as "bonus size" bottles instead of "nutrigloss" or "style and infusing" and made the coupon beep (I was at a u-scan). The UPCs on the larger bottles are different than on the regular size, so I guess I'm not too surprised by this. Obviously if you have a real cashier then you can point out that it's still a nutrigloss (or s&i) product even though it's a larger size.

I did several transactions at a u-scan buying 2 regular bottles at a time and using 1 B1G1F coupon. I scanned the bottles, then the coupon (it took 4.99 off), then keyed in my phone number which took off 4.99 for the Giant b1g1f promotion. I just had to pay tax.

Thanks for posting this thread. I was in need of shampoo and had a ton of the coupons. I don't need shampoo any more! LOL

I got 5 shampoo and 5 conditioner of the NutriGloss and the same of that other variety they had coupons out for (Style and Volume or whatever-- darker pink bottle). I did 10 bottles in each of 2 transactions, used the Uscan, and owed just tax. Scanned product, then card, then coupons. No problems.

I may go use up the rest of my coupons tomorrow.
