Store closing

The store in Bowie, MD is closing as of February 7. No signs up or anything saying this, but the cashiers were informing people and customer service was not giving out rainchecks.

If they are not advertizing or having close out prices, maybe they are moving stock to another store?

It would make sense for them to try to sell stuff off first.

Yes, I was there on Friday and was told by the cashier that helped get a q through at self-check out. They should put up signs to let the csomters know. I really that that Shopper Food Warehouse in the Market Place Shopping center took a lot of their business.

Yeah, once the doubling of $1 coupons ended, and then the Shoppers and Safeway opened... it was almost always empty. Oh well, guess I'll have to hit the Silver Spring store instead.

The superfresh in Doylestown, PA is also going to be closing in march this year. No signs up but I heard it from the employees there and from employees at the Acme across town.

Wonder if they will have some good deals before they close up? they really should post signs, what if you have gift cards to that store- you'd lose them if you have no clue they are going under!

Oh no!!! I love the store in Doylestown, especially when KMart dobles & SF triples at the same time. I guess I will be going to the Richboro store.
Bad news for me.

I can't speak to SF but when a Weis closed around here they just moved the stuff a few miles down the road to the other Weis. No sales, just some bare shelves.

I've heard that the Pottstown, PA (by Coventry Mall) is also closing, but I have not been there to confirm

A&P Closing 5 SuperFresh Stores

This article states that North Coventry, Lansdale, and Doylestown in PA are closing as are Bowie and Bel Air in MD.

MONTVALE, N.J. — A&P here will close at least five stores operating under the SuperFresh banner this month, sources told SN. Union sources confirmed the company would close stores in North Coventry, Pa., Lansdale, Pa., and Doylestown, Pa., by Feb. 25. The North Coventry and Lansdale stores are former Clemens Markets sites acquired in 2006. SuperFresh stores in Bowie, Md., and Bel Air, Md., are also set to close this month, with Bowie closing this weekend and Bel Air scheduled to close no later than Feb. 23. A&P officials were not immediately available for comment.
