Default IP's & DND coupons?

I just got back from SuperFresh and I'm slightly irritated!!! I spent more than an hour going through my book & each aisle to find good deals. When I got to the register, the cashier REFUSED to take my IP's and all q's that said DND, she said that she couldn't trippled them??? What! Everywhere I've ever shopped if it starts with a 5 it doubles (triples) with a 8 it doesn't. Well, I walk out with less than half my cart! I was so bummed. Was she right? No IP's & no DND? (she would take DND but at face value only).

At my store they don't take IP's either. As far as the DND's it just depends. At the you scan registers they will double/triple. Just because they "will" triple doesn't mean that they should and I believe your cashier was correct in that the store is only going to get reimbursed faced value. Our registers are set up to double/triple them, but part of the cashiers job is to look for DND and the expiration dates. It bites, I know. You put a lot of hard work into it. Sorry!

SuperFresh policy is to not accept IP's, as I understand it. I've used coupons that said "DND" and the computer automatically doubled it and the cashier didn't adjust it, but I don't count on it working that way.

My understanding is that they only get reimbursed for face value, so when they decide to triple (or double) Superfresh is the one that pays for the double/triple of the coupon so if the q's says DND or not, they'll still only get face value! Oh well! I just won't fuss over their triples next time and save myself some stress!

My first time shopping Superfresh with coupons I was so angry when I left. I could not believe they did not take IPs. I even called corporate to ask them to confirm it was store policy. They called me and told me it was. I request they atleast post they do not except as you walk in the door but they still did not have a sign telling you that easily seen. Until you try to use them you have not idea and then they point to a little sign on a the stand that is where the people stand to help with the self check. I had about $100 worth of groceries that I had them take out and not purchase.

I agree it would be a much simpler world if every store posted a notice somewhere outlining their coupon policies. This way everyone would know the rules and be able to plan accordingly. I'll add that to my list of things to fix when I get to rule the world :))))

All the policies don't mean squat if the cashiers and front end heads don't know them, sadly speaking from experience.
