I read thru the entire thread I don't think I saw the Smithfield Bacon mentioned. It's B1G1 free. Price on the add is $2.24. There are $.75 coupons coming in Sunday's paper so we get two packages free with 1 coupon. ohhhh baaaaby!

Regarding overage, I think it depends on the store and how they have programmed the machines. I always use the self check out. Many times the computer will adjust the coupon so that it only credits you the actual price of the item, giving you no overage. Then the very next coupon will give overage. I think they have some things programmed correctly and have missed others.

I always go into it assuming I won't get overage, but it is a bonus when I do

RE: overage

Coupons triple completely or not based on the regular price.

If an item's regular price is 1.29, a .50 coupon will triple as .50 + .50 + .29, making the item free.

If the regular price is more than the value of the tripled coupon, you will get the full tripled value, even if the SALE price is less, which results in overage.

Default Re: SuperFresh: Triples starting 7/11!

I went nice and early this morning, got $100 worth of groceries for $5.68 which included two steaks and some soymilk aside from my overage items with qs.

I'm not sure if the Novartis deal is working for regular prices, at least at my store. I had 3 $2 off Excedrin qs and retail it would have been about $15 for them, but I didn't get the catalina. I'm not complaining though, I got them for free and I don't really want to pay for Excedrin since I usually get it free from CVS.

I had a .50 Pure Leaf Lipton tea q from a tear pad I found at CVS. They rung up on sale for $1.25 and regular price is $1.39, so got slight overage there.

I managed to find two of the GUM toothbrushes that were on sale.

I had a .55/2 Minute Maid Lemonade q, that is great with the BOGO sale. I got overage on what I expected to get and I plan to go back tomorrow for more of the tea and the bacon!

I put quite a few qs that expire 7/12 and 7/13 around the Odenton store if anyone happens to go there.

I also forgot that the Kids Yoplait with Dora on them were ringing up at $1.50. I got the banana/vanilla combo. They were free after the .50 q!

The price in the ad was wrong. All of them that I saw were $4 something. Still free with 2 coupons.

My total so far is:

oop: $1.64 original total: around $300.
I actually had so much overage that I went back to get 4 bags of coffee. Plus, 2 of my coupons were rejected, but I was too far down the receipt to check and if I had split it up better I could have gotten another free Dasani. So, I messed up on getting about $9.00 more overage. And I didn't even clear any shelves!!

(4) Dasani 24-pk $5.99/ea. B1G1 (only one per transaction...I messed this up and ended up paying for 1 after my coupons) used Buy 10 Powerade Get Free Dasani Paid $5.99 for 4

(2) Ragu Pasta Pouches $2.15- $0.75= FREE
(6) Reddi-Whip $2.79- $0.35 insert & $0.30 blinkie= $1.74 & $1.89 not a great deal, but we needed them and they used up overage
(13) Wacky Mac $0.68 - $1.00/2 & $0.50 (starts with 9 does not triple) = $0.18/each

(4) New England Coffee $3.99 each (used these to eat up the overage)

I used coupons in the proper amounts for each one. The Purple ones gave overage, the red ones were free.

I'm SOOOO excited!!! The cashier was putting through my Kool-Aid coupon at the end when my total was already $2.04 and she said "Don't you have $2.04 to pay for that huge order?" And I just told her as sweetly as possible (I even smiled!!) "That's the point. I take the time, so that I don't have to pay the money"

Default Re: SuperFresh: Triples starting 7/11!

Wow on the Dora yogurt. I got the Diego and it rang the sale price. I am not complaining about that . . . Strange thing on how they programmed the registers at my local store.

I got some coupons off of eBay for the CVS sale on Lifesavers and the seller gave me as an extra one of the free cheese when you buy 3 Kraft, etc items. Well when I walked in they had a basket of Kool Aid packets. Normally 3/.89 and now 5/$1. I think they may be getting rid of them . . . So I picked up three packets. The cheese was $4.39 so $.39 after the coupon. Not a bad deal and my son loves cheese.

When they scanned the coupon at the end of the order (after we got past the idea that I had to buy an Oscar Mayer product and that these were not single serve packets) the coupon scanned $4 and then DOUBLED to take another $1.98 off. The cashier lost her mind. Then she started adding things on and taking them off. I wanted it done right so they got someone else who canceled the order and started over. At the end . . . well she scanned it, it did it again and she said it was right so I said nothing. I paid $3.XX and got:

4 Diego Yogurts (sale $2.50 - $.50/1 trippled = $1 each)
4 Huggies Wipes (used rain checks from 2006 marked NED for $1.49 and used $.50/1 coupons = $.01 overage)
3 Kool Aid - $.60
1 Kraft Cheese - $.39 after coupon

I actually do not feel bad about the $2 because they had NO Easy Solution coupon books and there was a $2/$10 Dairy coupon someone told me about in the A&P forum.

I still have one more yogurt coupon and I want to check prices on a few other things. This was a quick run before my pre-surgical testing.
