I freeze all kinds of lunchmeat (even have some of that same kind in my freezer) and its fine. Little bit more watery but freezes fine

Must report that I have frozen butter for at least 6 months without any problems.

I think you are going to have a problem if you already added the mayo. I don't think it freezes well at all.

Edited to add, why don't you arrange it nicely in a bowl (with lettuce for a base) & bring along some crackers to work & offer it to your coworkers as a snack? That way it doesn't go to waste.

Freezing hot dog & hamburger buns?

Mods: Please move if in the wrong section.

When I freeze hot dog & hamburger buns they always come out normal in some spots and hard in others.

I've tried taking each bun and wraping them in plastic wrap then putting them in a Ziploc freezer bag. That works ok but I'm hoping for any other thoughts or ideas.

Thanks!

Hmmm now that I think about it my bread doesn't touch the freezer sides. But I think it's also about how you defrost the bread once it's frozen. I've been known to nuke it, and that will make it hard quickly. Best way to do is to lay the bread out about 2 hours before you'll need it so it can thaw in the sink at room temp. But I've been freezing bread for a long time and never had a problem with hard/soft places.

No matter how long I let it sit and defrost it's still hard in some places. :(

We live 40 miles to the closest grocery store so unfortunately this isn't an option, but thanks anyways!
