1. Corporate Coupon Policy

Coupons

What is your policy for redeeming manufacturers' coupons?

Our policy for redeeming manufacturers' coupon is as follows:
- Only 1 manufacturer's coupon may be redeemed per item. No substitutions are allowed.
- The exact item stated on the coupon be must be purchased in order to redeem the coupon.
- Coupons cannot be redeemed after the expiration date stated on the coupon.
- The total redemption value of the coupon may not exceed the retail value of the item purchased.
- Any coupons for "free" products will be honored for the value of the item only. "Free" coupons cannot be doubled or tripled.
- Act Media coupons cannot be doubled or tripled.
- Product specific Checkout Coupons cannot be doubled or tripled.
- Product specific Checkout Coupons cannot be used with any other manufacturers' coupons for the same item.
- Non-product specific store Checkout Coupons can be used with another manufacturers' coupon. For example: a customer my use a coupon for "50¢ off any produce item" and a manufacturers' coupon on the same item.

What is your double coupon policy?

We double the savings marked on manufacturers' cents-off coupons up to 99¢. Any coupon $1 and over will be redeemed at face value of the item purchased. In cases where the double coupon total exceeds the value of the item, the offer is limited to the retail price. Lottery tickets, cigarettes, tax and items prohibited by law are excluded.

You may double a maximum of 4 identical manufacturers' coupons. For example: if a customer purchased five boxes of Cheerios and presented 5 manufacturers' coupons for 50¢, the first four coupons would be doubled to $1. The fifth coupon would only be redeemed for 50¢.

Up to an additional 12 identical manufacturers' coupons/items will be redeemed at face value for a total of 16 identical manufacturers' coupons.

Do you accept competitor's coupons?

No. Stop & Shop does not accept competitor's coupons.

Do you accept Internet coupons?

Yes. We do accept Internet coupons unless we are notified of fraudulent activity involving specific Internet coupons.

Can I redeem coupons on my gift card purchases?

Stop & Shop does not accept coupons of any type for the purchase of gift cards.

Do you offer rain checks if you are out of a sale item?

We always make every effort to be in stock when we have products on sale. For those times, when we do run out of a product, we will gladly issue a rain check at the Customer Service Desk.

Do you have a price guarantee?

Yes. Our Company is committed to 100% price accuracy. Our Company guarantees that all items will scan accurately. If any item scans higher than the price marked, advertised, unit price tagged or signed, you are entitled to one unit of the item FREE. Any additional items of the same product in the order will be honored at the lower price.

Alcohol, tobacco, milk, pharmacy items and other products restricted by the state are not included. Obvious or gross errors defined as items priced at less than half of the actual selling price are not included. As required by law, bottle deposits and taxes for free items must be paid by the customer.

Do I need a Stop & Shop Card to get the savings?

Yes. You can sign up for a Stop & Shop Card online by creating a Stop & Shop Account. Your Stop & Shop Account will enable you to receive special "load to card" savings offers, view your points for any existing points programs which you are participating in, view your weekly circular, review any entertainment orders you may have placed and check your year-to-date savings with your Stop & Shop Card.

You'll save more every time you shop with your Stop & Shop Card with Weekly Specials, Real Deals, special targeted coupons or offers delivered to you at the register, through the mail or online.

If you have an existing Stop & Shop Card, but have not created a Stop & Shop Account, we recommend that you do so in order to take advantage of the online benefits and savings opportunities.

Sales and Circular

When do your sales start and end?

Our sales run from Friday to Thursday. Our circular appears in the Thursday edition of most major and local newspapers and can also be found online.

How can I get a printed Stop & Shop circular?

Please fill out this convenient online form or call 1 800 767-7772 and listen to the prompts.

Is your circular available online?

Yes! Our full weekly circular is available to view and print from our website. Just click the Weekly Circular link from the home page, select your store and view everything that is on sale throughout your store. To sign up to receive email alerts each week that link to our circular, click here.

Stop & Shop Card

How do I get a Stop & Shop Card Card?

You can sign up for a a Stop & Shop Card online by creating a Stop & Shop Account. When you apply for a Stop & Shop Card online for the first time and create your Stop & Shop Account, you will be able to print a temporary Stop & Shop Card that you can use immediately. Continue to use your temporary card until you receive your new Stop & Shop Card in the mail.

You may also sign up for a Stop & Shop Card at the Customer Service Desk. You will receive a card on the spot and may begin using it right away. However, we recommend that you sign up online in order to take advantage of the online offers.

What are the benefits of having a Stop & Shop Card?

With the Stop & Shop Card you'll save with Weekly Specials; Real Deals; receive Checkout Coupons®, exclusive personalized mailings and ENewsletters with special offers; be able to earn valuable cash rewards for your local schools with A+ School Rewards; have the ability to save for your child's education at UPromise.com; receive double manufacturers' coupon savings; and enjoy the convenience of our lost key return service.

How do I add an offer that appears in an email to my Card?

It's as easy as 1-2-3! All electronic offers are stored in your online account. So before you add an offer, you need to sign into your account.* Then just follow these simple steps:

1. Click on the "Sign In to Add to Card" button within the email. You'll be taken straight to the "My Stop & Shop" online account section of our site.
2. If you haven't already done so, enter your username and password.*
3. Look for the offer under "My Exclusive Offers - eStatement Offers" and click the "Add to Card" button next to it.

That's it. Now just visit us before the offer expires and present your Card at checkout. You'll get the savings automatically!

Will I get offers in the mail?

The Stop & Shop Card allows us to provide our shoppers with personalized offers through the mail and email that are based on your purchases. But if you would prefer not to receive these offers, you may "opt out" when you sign up for your new card online. If at any time you would like to change your privacy preferences, you may do so online by revising your Stop & Shop Account.

Will Stop & Shop protect my privacy?

At Stop & Shop, we care about your privacy, and take every precaution to protect it. Our privacy policy is available online and is clearly stated both on the online and in-store applications.

How will I know how much I've saved with my Stop & Shop Card?

Your total savings with the card will clearly print at the bottom of your register receipt. Your Stop & Shop account also allows you to check your total savings with your card online.

How do I change my address or update information? What if my card is lost or stolen?

You can change your information and request a new card anytime online. Your information will be updated and your previous records will be transferred to your new card. You can also visit any Stop & Shop store to make a change to your information or to request a new card by filling out the Application/Change Form available at the Customer Service Desk.

Can anyone in my family use my Stop & Shop Card?

When you apply for a Stop & Shop Card, you will receive one card and two keytags, so three members of your household can use them. Please remember: when one or more cardholders have the same last name and live at the same address, they are automatically "linked" into a household account. This means that any member of that household with a Stop & Shop Card can earn points and redeem available offers. To find out if there are other cards in your household that are linked to you, or to unlink other cards from your card, please call our Card Hotline at 1-877-366-2668.

Is the Stop & Shop Card a check-cashing card also?

No. To obtain check cashing privileges you may be asked to present your driver's license the first time you write a check. To be able to cash payroll and business checks, you must first apply for a Payroll and Business Cashing Card. This can be done in store.

Where are Stop & Shop gas stations located?

There are currently over 50 Stop & Shop stores with gas stations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York and Rhode Island. For a complete list of locations, click here.

Can I earn Gas Rewards by shopping at other Stop & Shop stores?

Gas Rewards can be earned at these select Stop & Shop locations.

If I shop online at Peapod will I earn gas rewards?

Yes. You can now earn points towards Gas Rewards when you shop online at Peapod. The points you earn will appear at the bottom of your store receipt. Please note: Points earned at Peapod will be added to your card once a week on Monday by midnight.

How do I earn Gas Rewards?

For every dollar spent in store or at Peapod, you'll earn one point. For every 100 points you earn, you'll receive a 10¢ off Gas Reward. There's no limit to the amount of Gas Rewards you can earn.

How long are the Gas Rewards good for?

Gas points are valid for 30 days; your date of purchase is Day 1.

Will I also receive the everyday savings with my Stop & Shop Card?

Yes. Gas Rewards are in addition to our everyday savings of 5¢ off per gallon on regular and plus grades and 10¢ off per gallon on premium grade gasoline when you use your Stop & Shop Card at the pump.

How do I know how many Gas Rewards points I've earned?

There's no need to spend $100 all at once. Your discounts add up on every visit. The total number of Gas Rewards points you've earned will print on the bottom of your register receipt.

Can I check how many points I have and when they expire online?

Yes. We've added this feature to make tracking your total number of points easier for you. To check your points online simply click here. It will show you exactly how many points you have and when they expire. If you have questions about your points, please call our Card Hotline at 1-877-366-2668.

How many Gas Rewards can be redeemed per gasoline purchase?

Redeem your rewards as you earn them or let them add up for more savings.
*Please note: total discount cannot exceed price per gallon.

Is there a limit to how many gallons that can be purchased with Gas Rewards?

Yes. The discount is limited to a one-vehicle fill up with a 35-gallon maximum.

What should I do if I don't receive Gas Rewards when I should have?

If you don't receive Gas Rewards at a participating store, please go to the Customer Service Desk in the store and one of our associates will be happy to assist you.

I went to redeem my points and they were gone. How could this have happened?

There are several reasons this could happen:
- The first one is that the points have expired. They expire 30 days from the day they are earned.
- The other reason could be that another member of your family already redeemed the points.

How could another family member redeem my points if they have a different card number?

Our card system automatically "links" cards into a "household" account when one or more cardholders have the same last name and street address. This means that any of those card owners can redeem available points.

What do I do if I do not want to have my family cards linked so we will each earn and redeem our own points?

Please call our Card Hotline at 1-877-366-2668 and we will be glad to unlink the cards so each person will have their own account for purposes of accruing and redeeming points.

What do I do if I want to keep my family's cards linked together so points can be accrued together?

That's fine. There's nothing you need to do. You might want to work out in advance who gets to redeem the points at the pump so there are no surprises when you go to get gas and another family member has already redeemed them.

Can I still earn points if I have a privacy block on my purchases?

No. If you have chosen not to have your Stop & Shop purchases recorded you will not earn points. If you wish to participate in the gas rewards program, you can change your Stop & Shop Card preferences online at www.stopandshop.com. Please note: you will begin to earn points from the time you change your card preferences. Point accruals are not retroactive.

Why does my points total show as a negative?

A negative points total can appear if two tanks are filled in quick succession. Our Gas Rewards Program allows customers to fill one tank. If a customer has two back-to-back transactions, the system doesn't have time to catch up and will give the full discount for both transactions, but will then deduct the points from the second transaction and give a negative balance. Customers must then earn back the points for the discount that they received but were not entitled to for the second tank.
