MY Stop&Shop in NE did not accept my Internet Printed Coupons

I do all my shopping each week @ stop n Shop in Enfield, CT and I was informed this weekend that as of 3/12 they no longer accept Internet printed coupons.

I am very disappointed in this. I can't wait for Shop Rite to open up accross the street.

Has anyone helse experienced this @ their local Stop n Stop store?

No. that stinks. Even when S&S's official policy was to not accept IP's managers were given the discretion to accept them to be competitive in the market. Their official policy has only been YES to ip's for a short time.

I wonder if this is just one store making up their own policy? Did you call or email their customer service. I usually have pretty good luck with them.

I shop in MA and ours is still taking them no problem.........only downside w/ them is they often won't scan and have to be manually entered so a DND 5 can be a bummer.

The sign that said that they no longer take Competitor's Coupons said that they do still take IP's.

According to S&S's website:

Do you accept internet coupons? We happily accept Internet coupons except in situations where manufacturers have alerted us to specific fraudulent coupons.


There is no indication of per store, per manager's discretion, per cashier's whim. I would contact the store itself or CS to get the scoop.

I'm pretty sure the stores in my area (NH) are still accepting IPs.

i have 2 S & S close to my house one of them does not accept IPs. Both r owned by different people i guess casue they have different sales each week.

They're all corporate-owned. The sales differences are probably due to harsher competition and/or a store being recently opened or remodeled within the area, and policy differences are probably because of a manager's whim.

Also, sales vary slightly between gas and non-gas areas, and also between states.

Some markets award points for spending $ at the stores that are called gas rewards. You get something like 10 points for every dollar you spend, and then like 250 points is .10 off a gallon of gas. This is in place of some of the catalina deals. A month or so ago, there was a cat deal on Coke, but I had extra gas rewards on Coke.
