*** Tip of the day to safely use $4 cats without needing cashier intervention. Just buy items that are $4 or more and go through self-checkout. Scan an item, then a $4 cat, then an item, then a $4 cat, etc. This way the computer doesn't go nuts. I found a lot of things you can buy for $4 and more:
I find using them before I've scanned my card works well too, so I'm paying on the regular price. Can score overage that way too.

went to the little neck store today, shopping trip form hell. The cashiers were all rude. My best advice, if you have stuff under $4 you want to use the cats on take it to customer service, the regular cashiers are scared to push them through.

What are some things y'all have been using the $4 cats that are reg price $4 or more, but on sale for less? I refuse to use cats to buy stuff that is not on a good sale, because then i am only getting 1/2 off and I can do that well anywhere. grapes are the only great deal I have found that may produce "overage" (it's not real overage since it is my money, it will just let me spend part of it on something else instead of having to use it all on one product). our milk is 3.99 so that is not even an option, and i have $84 in cats to spend

I am using the rest of my Glade coupons at stores that will actually accept their own cats, between this and the "spend x get y off" deals not working off regular prices anymore, i am done with Giant. Which is actually a relief since they have the rudest cashiers and CS I have ever encountered.

Good Morning,

We have had lots of luck with our glade deal. The machine refuses to spit out the cats. So after we get our glade, use our coupons, we take the little sticker sign over to the manager. We show him the sticky sign that says we get $4.00 for each one bought and it's not giving it to us. They give us gift cards! We have done this twice now. The first few times we got the cat, but now nothing, so we get gift cards and I do not need to worry about spending "$4.00". Works well!!

Also we bought the dove. We bought 8 dove. We bought the b1g1f. Used 8 coupons, for a total out of pocket of $1.16. Then I went up to costumer service and said it didn't take $10.00 off. She hands me a ten dollar bill. I walked out of the store and said to my husband....if only every store would pay us to walk in, take there product for free and give us money too!! If I had more coupons I would have done it again and again!! lol

I bought the boston market entrees ($4.29 retail, $2.50 sale price) this week and scanned the $4 catalinas before scanning my s&s card. If you buy $20 worth you'll get $5 off instantly at checkout (didn't work for me so cs gave me $5 back). If my calculations are correct you make $12.50 overage.

Other things I get is produce, maple syrup, milk. You right it is tough - I think I'll just try to use them on sale items that are reg over $4. Some of the frozen organic stuff is good - I love the indian meals, but I have to say these are really a treat. I bought a bunch of the honey bears a couple of weeks ago when they were on sale.

My plan is to use them to buy bagged salad, olive oil, fresh fruit, milk over the next few weeks.... I usually do my grocery shopping elsewhere, but if I can get these items for free, I'll be happy! :)

Is it only 1 catalina per transaction? Or if I have a $10 total, can I use 2 of the $4 q's?

Morning,

We went and got more 'glade' last night, sigh , yes we are addicted. Anyways, the cat machine is working!!! Uh hello, I was happier when it wasn't working! Yes I want everything..lol

To answer the above question, Jen I have used more then one at a time. Infact last night we used 3 of the ones that printed out, along with 2 $10.00 cats, a 10% off coupon and paid .56 cents oop.

However we used self checkout, and the 'kid' that helped us is super, super nice.

I still have $80 in CATS to spend, but sales aren't that impressive...so I asked the Shaws manager if I could use some of my $4 Cats at Shaws and he said: YES!

So check with your local stores (YMMV) and you might be able to use them in another store.
