Re: Another Glade Deal at Stop and Shop! Lindalou- It really depends on who is checking you out. The computer will accept a $4 cat towards a gift card, but often cashiers will not. I did this once and got four $10 gift cards, used four $4 cats and only spent $6 on each gift card ($24 total). I then used those gift cards to buy 4 more gift cards using the same system. I had a friendly cashier who didn't mind. Then came the day from hell where I had everyone and their mother giving me dirty looks, different stories, etc and wouldn't let me buy gift cards with them. You can try it, but it's really YMMV.

You most likely will need cashier intervention because the computer counts the bogo coupon as 2 coupons, so if you try to also use a $4 cat it won't let you. A nice cashier will probably push them through for you. If I were you (shopping with kids, I know how it is!) I would just spend the money out of pocket, and use your cats for the future. They're usually good for 2 weeks so you will have time to spend them. I have had the most success going through self-checkout and scanning 2 glades, then a bogo coupon, 2 glades and a bogo coupon, etc etc. This way the computer doesn't mess up at all and I don't get dirty looks from cashiers who are anti-coupon :)
Good luck! Sadly my Stop and Shop has been out of the warmers all week! Thank goodness the deal goes until 10/30 so I still have a chance to get more "free" groceries!!!
*** Tip of the day to safely use $4 cats without needing cashier intervention. Just buy items that are $4 or more and go through self-checkout. Scan an item, then a $4 cat, then an item, then a $4 cat, etc. This way the computer doesn't go nuts. I found a lot of things you can buy for $4 and more:
~Deli items
~Produce
~Milk/Dairy
~Trash Bags
~Drink Mixes
~Large Juices
~Gift/seasonal items
~Etc!
I had a great shopping trip the other day with no hassles. I used 10 $4 cats and got 10 items for a little more than $4 each. I only paid a few dollars out of pocket without any hassles.
