What about Pillsbury Perfect Portions? Has anyone tried those specifically?

Heidi has one that's even more clear (add to this one) but dadgum I can't find it. For example? When you do those eggs, whip em up first and store in 2 C
for most uses; 4 or more, for omelets.

The biscuits right?? They freeze WONDERFULLY! You can pop them right out of thier individual packaging and bake frozen. Just add an extra min or two to the baking time. And they freeze for a long time too. I still have 20 or so boxes in my freezer from last october and baked some up over the weekend and they were great.

Does anyone own/use a Foodsaver? If so, what model?

I wasn't sure if it was worth the money, or if it was just better to use Ziploc bags.

I have the vac 1075. I must say, I have had it about two years and never really used it. I did a little in the summer when peaches were dirt cheap and froze a bunch.

I will say now, that I wouldn't want to be with out it. I used to buy a large "family size" pack of meat or chicken and just thrown the entire pack in the freezer. Now, when I buy it I take it home and put marinades on it and throw dinner sized portions in the bags and freeze them.

My mom picked it up CHEAP for me at Tuesday Morning

I've frozen it to eat (as frozen yogurt), and to bake, but not to thaw and eat as creamy yogurt. It should be okay, but I haven't tried it.

Question about freezing corn on the cob? Is it really necessary to blanch it first? I would love to just wrap all the left over (uncooked) corn from my party today and stick it in the freezer?

Second question: Must you do anything special in the way of cooking it after it's frozen?

Third question: What is the purpose of 'blanching' things before freezing, anyway?
