Can I freeze it? Questions about freezing your stockpile here!

I read that you can freeze OJ in a carton but can I freeze the OJ that comes in the plastic bottles? Like the Simply Orange brand. Do I have to pour a little out for expansion room? TIA!

Yes, you can freeze it, do pour some out for expansion, as you know there is a lot of water in that OJ. Then let it thaw and shake it well and you're good to go

Has anyone ever froze Crisco shortening in the sticks?

I have not, but I can't imagine it would present a problem. I freeze butter all the time and have no issues with that. Same with buttery spreads, no problems there either.

It might just be the brand of bread, I don't stick to one brand, I usually buy what's cheaper which is often time the walmart brand.... I use to double bag the bread. but now I use bread savers now, ( I found them at walmart in the rubbermaid section). Works pretty well and since the bread savers are plastic they add protection against squished loafs

I found that if you pour the milk in freezer bags it does pretty good,,put in the fridge when you need to thaw it out. I use to buy the Quality Dairy milk (when it came in bags) and it worked out well...
