Bread and buns start to dry out really bad after about a month. If I'm gonna keep them longer than that, I have to put them in an air tight container so they don't dry out. I put them in 1 gal ziplocs and leave a little bit of air in the bag so it protects them in the freezer from getting mushed by other things. I couldn't stock bread in my house if I wanted to. I buy 6 loaves and they are gone *poof!* in a week or two. But I do freeze them until they are needed because bread doesn't keep that long on the counter.
Heidi has one that's even more clear (add to this one) but dadgum I can't find it. For example? When you do those eggs, whip em up first and store in 2 C

I just stocked up on cheese singles and hot dogs. I put them in the freezer but my main concern is this; how long can I freeze those particular items before they go bad?
Do you think you can freeze the sunny delight smoothies? Thanks
Im so glad I found this because dh was asking me why I put our giant vat of butter in the freezer. Seriously its going to take us 6 months to go through that!
Need to know if I can store these items in the freezer.
Dry cake, brownie, and pancake mixes
Betty Crocker potatos
Chips and chex mix
Cereal
nut clusters
pillbury biscuits
And do you just store them in there original package ie chex mix and chips?
Thank you so much for helping, and sorry if this has already been asked a million times!![]()
I grew up in a family that froze EVERYTHING (flour, sugar, medicine, batteries...you name it). Cake, brownie, etc all freeze great (although for the Betty Crocker Supreme brownie mixes I would take out the fudge or chocolate sauce packets that come with it), the potatoes and cereals also freeze well. Pillsbury biscuits in the can definitely can be frozen; most of the time they turn out perfectly fine but I've had a few that didn't quite rise the same. They still tasted great though!
I don't know about the chips, mostly because I don't like them so they're not in my house. I would assume they would.
Everything I freeze in the original package. I'm too lazy to repackage.![]()
My dh is about to mutiny because every time I freeze buns the bottom ones in the package get hard. I have tried putting them in the freezer door, making sure they aren't touching the sides of the freezer, etc. but nothing seems to work. I usually leave them in the original packaging. Is that the problem? Do I need to put them in a freezer bag? Please help! Thanks!!
