How did that happen? Any time we have a cheese ball it is gone in a flash!!! I don't think I would freeze a cheeseball - I worry about the texture of the cheese once it comes out, however I have never done it, so wait around a few minutes, I am sure you will run into someone who really knows :)

(just eat it tonight, then no worries about freezing it!) yum!

Heidi has one that's even more clear (add to this one) but dadgum I can't find it. For example? When you do those eggs, whip em up first and store in 2 C
for most uses; 4 or more, for omelets.

I'm not sure about cream cheese, but I once worked for a Cheese and gift type store in college and we were told that you can freeze the cheese balls that they sell. I've done it. No problem with the texture. However, I don't recall having any with cream cheese as the main ingredient.

Default Can you freeze Soy Milk?

We have been freezing our milk (cow) for years since I'd go to the grocery store once for 2 wks and get several gallons, freeze, then thaw as we need them. But we've recently switched to soy milk. Have you tried freezing it? How did it do?

I haven't freezed it because I usually buy the room-temperature quarts, and I pull from the back of the shelf to get the longest date possible.

Maybe try freezing a small amount and thawing it, and see if you lose too much taste/texture/quality?

that's a great idea...I think I'll do that. i wished I'd have done that w/ our cream cheese :frown: It's horrible when thawed and we tossed it all.

Silk Soy milk freezes just fine if it's plain or vanilla. For some reason the flavored ones tend to get a little funky looking when you thaw them. They taste fine, but those separate a little bit and you have chunks of god-knows-what floating around.

Chocolate Silk Soy Milk makes a darned good ice cream, though. Add an egg, a little sugar and the milk and stick 'er in the machine.

I read you can freeze uncooked pasta, but has anyone tried freezing cooked pasta. I made dinner tonight and have a ton left over I dumped the entire box of spirals and didn't mean too... it was too late! Can I freeze it?

I'd say it is worth at least frezing some of it to test it out. Let us know how it goes.

The pasta may be a bit mushy when thawed.

You can do a 'search this thread" for cream cheese, but it's a different texture when thawed. It's grainier and slightly watery. Good for cooking, not as fabulous if you want to spread it on toast (I still use it that way, though, since I am not that picky.)
