Definitely need to keep the carton balanced, with the weight in the middle! I don't usually consider myself OCD, but with the eggs I can't relax if I know they aren't balanced. :shrug7:

Now with the TP, even my kids are OCD about that - it must come over the top!!! My DH is 6'6", so he just doesn't work for him to be trying to reach under the roll when he's done.

That's what I do too.

I take from one end.

The poll didn't ask this, but I put the carton in the fridge with the heavy end to the front so it doesn't fall out of your hand when you grab it.

Thats a great idea. But I have to agree with Sbp that I grab them out of the carton and fridge as quickly as I can since my 2yr old figured out how to open the fridge lock.

I take them all out, starting from one end and alternating between that end and the other end, until they are all out...but as I remove them from the foam carton, I am putting them into the eggtray on my refrigerator door...and from there, I just take them out from one end, without taking out the whole tray.

LOL I actually have medically diagnosed OCD, so this explains :P I have to cradle the carton with my right arm and take the eggs from left to right, this way the heavy end will always be in the crook of my arm!

Well, considering I have been having a problem with eggs sticking to my carton, I thought this post might be about how to remove them when they stick. I end up trying too hard and my finger goes through them, cracking them. I think my fridge is getting too cold in certain places and it's causing the eggs to slightly crack and leak and then stick to the carton. I've been trying to move my shelves around and place the eggs in various spots, but they still seem to get too cold. My fridge is set on the line where they recommend it.

Anyway, I take mine out on the ends to keep it balanced. DH cracks the eggs and puts the empty shells back in the carton (anyone else do this?!), which sometimes makes me think we have more eggs than we actually do. (and it's not really healthy to do that either) It's annoying, but I've even caught myself doing this a few times. Weird how some people's habits rub off on you.
