My Jan starts today. I'm already nervous about it. DH got his first check from his new position today and it's obvious that we can't make it on that amount. This has me in the dumps and has taken any and all movitation that I had away.

Of course my shopping list is already getting long. This is depressing me. Thank goodness it looks like CVS is going to have a pretty good sale next week.

I need to invioce for the work that I have done but can't because the server is down. If I could get that done and have the knowing that money will be coming my way, I would feel so much better.

    --------------

So who here has bought some the chicken from Zaycon? If I want to get some I have until tomorrow to get it ordered. The way I am figuring it is the 40lb box will last us just about the entire year so I am willing to find the $ to cover it.

My shopping list will be pretty big for the first week too, seeing as I haven't been home in a month and I will have to replace all perishables. I do have a $20 CVS gift card that I'm hoping to be able to use next week. I really want to get into CVS this year, and the $20 should be enough to get me started without having OOP.

If you have the chance to get the Zaycon chicken....I'd say go for it! I have been more than pleased with what I received.

I have $10 GC & $2 ECB right now... but I still need to go spend $13 on beauty to get my $5 ECB before it resets on 1/1.

I will join with a realistic for us number now,
knowing full and well that I have no coupons to speak of
no RRs, no ecbs, no catalinas, no OYNOs, no giftcards, no spare change (just a dust bunny in my change purse)
and very little of anything considered 'stockpile'

I will be back on the first with that number

We are starting the year off in the same place!!!
Truly the only stockpile I have is some HBA which is getting LOW, toilet paper that will get us through this month, and a butt load of Libby's canned veggies.

IF you can still find any in stock, there are 2 varieties of Head and Shoulders shampoo that are 75% off, AND giving a $2 EB, AND a $1/2 coupon. Some people report only getting the EB's on 3 per transaction, so, if usinig the coupon, you might want to just buy 2 at a time. Some stores don't have them tagged at 75% so scan them! One is "ocean" something and the other is "extra volume".
There are also numerous varieties of Pantene that are also 75%. Again, if not marked, scan them. I found the "highlighting", "beautiful lengths", and "dry to moisture" ringing up 75% at my stores. There is a $3/2 coupon that expires tomorrow making them almost free. All count toward beauty club.

Starting off with $10 CVS gift card. Also have $5 GC to Kohls, $25 Bed, Bath, Beyond, $25 Cracker Barrel, and about $60 in Staples rewards I think. If times get desperate I'll buy TP etc at Staples. But doubt I'll use any except the CVS for my grocery budget.

Rebates are going into a separate envelope this coming year so I won't be rolling those back in this year unless money gets tight.
