Funstuff Nov - Building The Stockpile "Game"

Over time I have come to realize that there are others out there like me that want to live off of my stockpile but I don't have much of one. So I thought this would be a fun "game" to play. With the holidays coming up there will be tons of great sales out there and deals to go chase. This isn't going to be a challenge, it's all in good fun.

I will have this going until the end of the month. At the end of the month we as a group can decide if the "game" should run again.

Objective/Goal: To build a stockpile while spending as little as possible. Go for the deals on things that you can live off of such as baking items, canned goods, meat, etc..... sorry one can't live off of 50 boxes of laxative.

Rules: There isn't any! (not to ignore any HCW rules )

Prize: Since this is all in good fun, there isn't one. If you had fun during the month and feel that you have accomplished something, then you WON the "game"!

Side Challenge: To help keep your mo-jo flowing, I will add in a side challenge. Anyone that can keep up with what they have bought over the course of the month and a total of how much you spent, I will draw a random winner that will receive a random prize from me. You will have until Sun Dec 4th to get your list & total posted. Random Winner will be announced Mon Dec 5th.

Looks like we get a Wiki! Feel free to edit the wiki and add your name. You may use the Wiki to help keep up with your total OOP (not required) but please don't keep item lists on it as it will get too overload.

To help make things fun, include pictures of your loots. We all enjoy seeing stockpile porn.

    Let the "game" begin!!!!!

I'm in. My monthly budget is $250 this month, so I am thinking $210 for food and $40 for stockpiling. We shall see how it goes. My real goal this month is to get Turkeys. I would like to have 3 or 4 in the freezer for eating this next year, and I hope to get a good deal on them. I would also like to find some deals on baking stuff over the next few months since sticking to my budget means baking from scratch.

We shall see how it goes.

    I'm first in the wiki!

My goal is quick meal items 'cause those help so much for the Nov-Jan rush. And of course meat. I need more beef!

I'm in! I'm not going to give myself a set amount, other than my monthly grocery budget of $125. Can't wait to get started!

I'm game! I won't set a money goal cuz it'll be included in my $100 LOYS budget. I need to restock my paper towels, tp, paper plates, zippy bags, stuff like that! I'm getting really low on all of the above!

I think this is a great thread idea. I see those 'living off your stockpile' threads and am always lil jealous of em. Mainly cause my stockpile is to lil to go long without having to buy stuff.
Anyway I will be 'lurking' around this thread . Will be enjoyable to see how everyone is doing.

Me too!!!! I'm working on it slowing because I can't seem to get that great of an deal around here.... I'm talking the best TP price I can get is .40 a roll and PT is .50 a roll. So I have been buying one "bundle" every week.
