The main reason we buy velveeta is for cheese dip (with rotel). We RARELY have left over cheese, but when we do, I use the foil it comes in to re-wrap it and then stick it in the fridge. I'd stock up if it's a great price. The last time I went to get some it was like over $5.50, no thank you!

The best price I've found is $3.99 at Sack-n-save, where I refuse to shop because it's so nasty. I take the ad to Wal Mart (which I hate marginally less) to get the price. I don't use much, either. Queso, grilled cheese sandwiches, and chicken spaghetti are about it!

I know I haven't bought it in awhile and it was 6.49 a piece! I used to get them for 3.49-3.99 so now I miss my rotel dip. I can't believe the raise in price and the off brand is not nearly as good but when I can get it on sale for 2.99 I do buy it which has been a long while also. Now I want some rotel dip.

Our grocery store has their store brand fake cheese stuff-but it's weird. It doesn't taste nearly the same, nor does it melt the same. Our Albertsons is about to close, so I'm hoping to catch some of their sales (come on, cheap velveeta!)

The only things I use it for are cheese dip and the occasional (twice a year, maybe) batch of broccoli and rice. I like HEB's store brand just fine though.

Velveeta is an affront to Rotel. Rotel deserves so much better. What did Rotel ever do to you?

I don't buy it often because daughter won't eat it. When I do buy it, I try to buy the small amount because only I will eat it. Whatever is left over, I just fold the wrapper around it then put it in a zip bag.

Years ago I had a cheese keeper and other things along those lines. They seem to be a very good way of filling up the cupboards with things you don't need. Plastic bags really do work for almost everything.
