    HELP anyone tried freezing yogurt?

I'm getting a replacement refrigerator and there may be some hours between them.

So does yogurt freeze ok, and thaws fine when needed?

The donaimals yogurts for kids recommends freezing on the package to make a frozen treat for little ones. I have done this and my dd enjoyed as a popsicle. I have not tried other kinds - they also recommended eating within 5 days of freezing (not sure why?)

Yes it's okay. They can kind of separate a little after and IMO they tend to get a little runny...but for a few hours...I think you'll be fine regardless.

You ought to try eating them frozen too...YUMMY!!!!

yep! I freeze it! It does get a bit runnier but it is still YUMMY and much healthier than eating ice cream, eat it frozen! Very good! I have frozen about any brands! Another trick, if you have almost expired yogurt, several containers of it, a container of cool whip, mix together, and put in a graham cracker crust and freeze! YUMMY frozen pie!

I freeze the Gogurts, but that's it. And they do separate a bit when defrosted, so you have to mush it up in tube.

I eat it frozen all the time. That's my ice cream. I don't know about thawing it. I don't think I would recommend it, though. I don't think it would hurt you at all, but it sounds like it wouldn't be at it's best due to the thinning.
