It will dry out.
With all the back to school sales, I'm picking up school supplies for cheap. But my daughter won't be needing them for a while. Does liquid glue expire? Should I donate it or hold onto it?

I'm sure it will eventually thicken but I have Elmer's white glue that is three years old and it is fine.
Depends on what kind it is. I too have Elmers and similar that are good for years. But if it's like a glue stick or pen they can dry up.
I got both. The ones that were .20 at Target. I figured I could either hold onto them for a year or so when I can start doing art projects with DD. Or, if they dry up, I can donate them to the school that runs out of our church.
You could prolong the life by checking the lids and storing a normal temp or even warm location. A year is "usually" not a problem. But they will go on sale this time next year too!

Great! Thanks for the advice. I think I'll take them to the church's preschool as a donation. I don't mind spending a few dollars to give someone else's kid lots of fun...especially if I'm not the one unstickying everything. :)
