Default Stockpiling-- the opposite of extreme

Everyone is buzzing about huge stockpiles. So I thought it'd be fun and less confrontational to take a look at the opposite of huge stockpiles.

What do you currently have so few/little of that an HCW stockpiler would gasp?

Food stockpiling was never my thing, except when my stepson lived here. He was vegetarian and the Morningstar Farm coupons were plentiful so my freezer was FULL. But that is now in the past.

The fewest food items I have right now are:

    Pasta sauce--1.5 jars
    Cereal-- 2 plastic containers
    Mac & Cheese-- 1 box
    Ketchup-- 1 bottle
    Mayo-- 2 bottles
    Frozen veggies--1 bag
    Peanut Butter-- .5 jar

And the fewest HBA items are:

Women's shave gel-- 3 small cans plus 1 plastic bottle I won't use 'cause I hate it
Facial Cleanser-- 3 bottles plus 1.5 more I won't use 'cause I hate it
    MPDS-- 3 bottles

    What about you?

I have been SHOPPING WITHOUT COUPONS (gasp) and living off the stockpile.

I have ZERO backup rolls of TP.
I am down to 6 tubes of toothpaste, 4 of which are DHs and 2 of which I really don't like.
I completely missed the canned stock and Stove Top sales over the holidays.
Of the hundreds of tubs of wipes I had, I am down to 12 tubs and about 20 soft packs.
I have been paying retail for Target diapers. DS refuses to potty train at just-turned-4. I am in denial.
I have no hairspray, gel, or facial moisturizer.

I think it's time to get back into the swing of things. I haven't done a CVS deal in about 2 years.

I have NO stockpile of toilet paper and I am not happy about it, LOL I am also out of butter and have to keep buying it. Last year I thought I got enough well I was wrong and there is no deals to be found on anything right now where I live. The coupons have been downright awful and NO sales.

I agree about the coupons being awful. I haven't bothered to dumpster dive in a few months. There's nothing I want enough to put in the effort. The few coupons I did want I easily found for cheap trades on here. My accordion file hasn't been this thin for years. Even the several inserts on Jan. 2nd aren't enough to excite me. I may trade for a couple of the Q's and that's it.

I feel at home in this thread. I haven't done much stockpiling and couponing this year. I'm still living off last year's accumulation of HBAs, so I haven't had to spend money on that. I have still managed to keep my pantry and freezers full from deals, and still have some dry goods in a few totes, and that's good enough for me. I just don't have a huge stockpile, at least not by hardcore couponers' standards. I do intend to pick up the pace a bit because some of my stuff is down to only a few items-- toothpaste, razors, shampoo, that sort of stuff. Even though a "few" bottles of shampoo will last me forever, I have come to enjoy the luxury of switching brands and types on a whim instead of using an entire bottle before moving on to a new one. I have several bottles of partially used products that I regularly switch out.

I actually paid $2.00 for a box lately *GASP* lol. We needed them so badly even after stocking up at $0.75 a box last summer. I made my heart sad to pay that much.

I haven't encountered an opportunity to even consider stockpiling toilet paper since I started in September.

I really only have a few items I consider stockpiled (toothpaste, 10-12 tubes; Betty Crocker potatoes 10 boxes, 10 boxes of cake and muffin mixes, 5 or 6 boxes of cereal). And those amounts don't even count as stockpile to most couponers I don't think.

I am working on it but most of the deals haven't been good enough for me to buy a ton of anything.
