    Default freezing eggbeaters?

    i looked in the storing/freezing section and saw that you can freeze eggs and egg whites....but,

    anyone had any luck just freezing the eggbeaters eggwhites in the container they come in? or should i take them out and put them in a plastic container?

    You can freeze them up to a year, in the container they came in if you prefer (I usually vacuum bag, container and all, just like I do butter to keep freezer burn at bay).

    Then just thaw them in the fridge for about 12 hours or so before planning to sue them. They freeze great and no change in quality!

    I'm so glad that someone answered you! I froze them once...about 2 years ago. But, that was right before our power went out (for 8 days!!) from a storm. and we lost everything. So I never got to find out if they worked or not.

    thanks for all the replies! i finally found them pretty cheap and dh goes on spirts wanting eggwhite only eggs. now i can freeze them at this good price!! whoo hoo.

    i think i will take $Savings suggestion and put them in a freezer bag. just in case. i double bag all my meat this way to avoid freezer burn.

    I've been known to buy eggbeaters when they go on sale, too - the freezer bag idea sounds nifty, but I don't think it'd really be necessary. Then again, my freezer never held them for more than a couple months. And there's absolutely ZERO change in quality.
