Default Food Saver - Need a price check/recommendations

I saw that $10 off Q for Food Saver this past weekend. DH and I have been talking about getting one for a while, so we can break down the ground beef chubs, freeze leftover veggies/stock for soup, etc. Sooooo....for those of you who have one, how do you like it, and how much do they typically run on a good sale? TIA!!!!

I love mine so much I have two! One I found at a yard sale for $20 and the other I found on markdown at Walmart for $100

As far as good sale price it is going to depend on the model you are looking to buy I think. But if you use it a lot to save food you got at a great price (expecially meats) it is well worth the cost. Meats last much longer in your freezer when you vacuum seal them!

I absolutely love ours....the hubs hates it (only the new one). Periodically they come out with a "NEW AND IMPROVED DESIGN" and I had to have it. It is the stand up one, brushed silver. They redesigned it, etc....He can never get the thing to work...I don't seem to have that problem.

On that note though..no mater which one I have had, and I have had three generations, I have never stopped using them. I have the cannisters, the marinade container and I use the bags religiously and wouldn't be without it!

I have had one for about 10 years now.
    Love it.
I have seen them as low as $5 at thrift stores.
If you want a new one I would recommend you get one when KOHL's has a % off sale and stack with the $10/$50 coupon.( if you have a KOHL's Charge card.)
I order my bags this way.

My parents sold these at Fairs and Road Shows before they became available in the stores. They still have the original one they did demos with! They work great, and I was lucky enough to get one from them. Back then they were lots of money.... (like $300)

I love doing meat in the bags, last year I bought a 40lb box of Chicken Breasts @ $1.29 lb, and food saved them 2 breasts to a package. You don't have to worry about freezer burn, and you can add marinade to the bags, so you have marinated chicken breasts when they defrost.

I would check Kohls, and sometimes they have a great bundle pack available on QVC.

My Walmart had them and I meant to jot down the prices but did not have anything to write with or my phone on me. But they had two models one was I think $130-ish and the other one was $150-ish
