Today was my older son's 4th bday. We planned to keep it small. Made pancakes (free!) for breakfast. Took him to Toys R Us (had coupons, of course!) then out to lunch. My plan was to bake him a cake while he napped.

And.........I had no cake mix. Not a single box. I ripped through all my shelves, dug behind......nada, niente, nothing.

Tons of muffin & brownie & cookie mix, but no cake. Tons of icing. No cake mix. How does this happen?

I donated it all in June and got carried away, forgot to save a few for us. Oh well, made brownies w/ choc chip cookies inside, all was good.


I still can't believe it though, I can't believe I didn't have any!

I hate that! I also hate when I over trade my coups and don't save the ones I need.
Sounds like a great day, though :)
