you can track ANYTHING with this program. He even made it work with a handheld scanner that you can buy cheap on ebay.
I had a question for all the stockpile kings and queens. I am looking for a free or cheap software program. What I'm looking for is a program where I can keep track of my inventory with details like item, amount I have, cost of the item and so on. Just something where I can know how much i have of any given item at any time. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Intelli Scanner Home Companion...google it
it's 249.00 though
You can track your inventory very precisely with TioLive. I recommend it! It will show your past stocks and present stocks in recap tabs. It is very practical according to me. Moreover, it is inexpensive: you register for free and you can stay on the free version if you want.

If you have an Android based cell phone, their is an app in the Market called Memento, when you can build your own stock with pictures, PLUS use it as a mobile price book!
I would just use Microsoft Excel
