im looking for something like this. I tried memento, got no where, couldnt find barcodes. if i have to do all the work, i might as well do it on a pc.

Any thoughts?

i would want to be able to put in all pertinant info in different columns like product, value on(1,2 or more) source, date expiry date, doublable and qty.

i would like it searchable, editable, and be able to arrange by alphabetical order, and possibly by expiry but not necessary for that one. and printable without it having colors all over , etc( i seemed to have this problem in openoffice, and i got no where with that)

you can track ANYTHING with this program. He even made it work with a handheld scanner that you can buy cheap on ebay.

I found I was able to pair it with a bar code scanner I got for pennies at a monthly techie junk sale held every month in downtown Dallas. Many cities have these. It is like a flea market just for computer parts and things like that. I found mine just by googling used electronics sale, but you can ask at the electronics parts store if you can't google up one. Looking at the brand and style of my scanner, it must be at least 20 years old. I was a bit put off, but the guy let me test it before buying and it works fine. I had upgraded my computer due to work needs, so I stuck my old computer in the kitchen along with the bar code scanner. Scan everything as I unload the bags, and again to remove when I use it. Now, what I need is a program to install in my teen's head to make her always remember to scan what she uses!
