Coupons are found money - who walks by money on the ground??
Saving money ~ it's a way of life, not an attitude
I have a different opinion. As long as it was fresh when frozen and not showing signs of freezer burn, I would so still use it.
Have you seen how well preserved the mammoth when dug out of the ice?

I agree i have cooked and eaten meats that have been frozen a long time , if it still looks good i defrost and if it still smells and looks good i cook it immediately and we eat it... have had no problems... i always freeze things when i buy them if i buy bulk. i do not wait till near the expiration date.

I wouldn't throw it out. I would use it. Bacon is so full of salt and preservatives, I think it will be just fine, especially if it was in the freezer.
Ok Im thawing it out now. I will take take a whiff when thawed then fry up and take a tiny bite if all good then we shall have bacon in our potato salad today! Thanks for the website and the opinions.

I have some dated back that far too and it's fine. My mother doesn't think so but I know better. My FIL gave us a foodsaver sometime back and it works great. No freezer burn and the meat tastes great after long periods of time in the freezer.
I had sanity once upon a time I promise. It was just so long agoooo that I can't remember it
.
I would eat it. Probably would look it all once it's thawed and eat it up within a couple of days. PP is right--there's enough preservatives in bacon to keep it good for quite a while.
