Hummus Is it still good past the expirations date?
I cleaned out my fridge this morning and I found two containers of hummus. One has an expiration date of May 22 so that one is fine, but the other one expired March 30. Two weeks ago. It's been sealed and sitting in the crisper drawer in the fridge. So what do you think? Is it safe to eat?

Well I decided to throw it out. It looked fine and smelled fine, but I didn't want to chance it. I'm just glad I got it for free with a coupon.

Hi leqet,
I have eaten Hummus that was 7 days past expiration, it smelled fine.
(I have a sensitve nose for mold)
It was Athenos Original--I probably wouldn't do that with the veggie ones like Roasted Red Pepper.

Thanks wealthybarney. This was Organic Tribe Hummus--the plain variety. I tossed it out because I just didn't want to get sick. But I'm really sad about it. I LOVE hummus. Oh well, I still have one good one. This was a good lesson to keep a closer eye on the expiration dates.
