Went to the store today but not to stockpile - only to pick up a little produce, etc. for the weekend since we will be snowed in.

How were the stores? Every time I pull up the National Weather service warning, the snowfall minimum has risen. Now they are saying 18-24 inches here.

I went to Shopper's in Fredericksburg since I was down there anyway and I had a gift card with them - it was a little busier than usual but not really that bad. That was about noon though so it is probably bad now that people are stopping on their way home from work. I guess we won't be going anywhere this weekend - things are already being cancelled.

Yep I was noticing things are closing and not even a flake falling yet. LOL.

We will just watch it snow out the window and watch the plows go by below. (we are in a high-rise). No plans on going anywhere. I really wish it would do this during the week, we need a nice weekend to go house hunting.

Come on and join us! Its not really a contest. Just a place to share stockpile shopping trips and for encouragement. I'm trying to keep mine very simple and practical - only what we will REALLY use. With a limited income for the next year to 18 months, I want to have enough of the higher priced NEED items to last.

I'm even going to attempt a container or square foot garden this spring once we move. Note the word "attempt" lol.

I love to join ya'll. We moved from CA to WA 3 weeks ago, and of course I stopped stockpiling about a month before we moved so we wouldn't have to move a huge stockpile. In the end we didn't have room for much of it and donated 3/4 of our stockpile, so we are basically starting over. I'm also learning new store policies (safeway, albertsons which does twice the value q's, yokes, festival foods, winco foods, fred meyer). I'm super excited that we now have a Target and a Super Wal-mart (our previous town had neither and the closest ones were 45 min drive). I'm bummed there's no CVS here but there is walgreens and rite aid. So if you don't mind my joining I'd love to start building up my stock pile again with you guys as support.
