Default Re: Feb. Stockpiling Olympics

Can you tell I found the thread with all of my posts? My reason for starting the Stockpiling Olympics is that I've donated so many items to Haiti Relief (through my church) and to the food bank that I'm getting nervous. Also have done the Stockpile Challenge the last 2 months which has worked wonders for seeing the bottom of one of our freezers...so why does that scare me so much??:shrug7: We are down to 10 pkgs of TP, never thought I'd see the day! Hoping to build up our stockpile as well as donate as much as possible. One thing to note is that I am in the LOD, so that really helps.

Yesterday I did a couple of small trips:

Publix (all items for my stockpile)
4 - Chex Mix ($.25 ea after q's)
1 - 8 O'Clock Coffee ($1.75 after q)
2 - Contessa Frozen Meals ($1.50 after q)
4 - Hallmark "Expressions" Cards (Free after q). If you have a Publix, check the card isle, they have tearpads for $.99 off Hallmark Expressions cards. They also have tons of cards for $.99, so can you spell F-R-E-E?

CVS
I spent $.34 oop (you have to pay tax now, darn it!) Got the following:
1 Box Raisin Bran (Food Bank)
1 Full Size Violage Shampoo (Haiti)
2 Pkgs Lumene Facial Cloths (me)

Keep up the great work everyone!!

Welcome everyone! Hopefully we can all get our stockpiles up to our goals quickly and CHEAPLY!

Boy I really need a deal on meat. I had to pay $3.99 a lb for a variety pack of beef today. I didn't have time or patience to do any deals and that was the cheapest I could find at that store. Not even the reduced bin was that cheap. Oh but I did pick up a Taste of Home - Busy Families Recipes magazine. Lots of yummy things in there. It even has a freezer meals section.

Dh got five 12-packs of Marcal at the commissary last night, 8 cans of contadina tomato paste and way too much velveeta. LOL. But he tried. lol.

Keep up the good work everyone!! A bit of family drama going on so I may be MIA for a few days.

Here in the LOND I am still having a difficult time with it.
