Ohhh...good idea. Wonder if I can find one on clearance still from Christmas?? I saw some 5 gallon buckets at Home Depot today for a few bucks, thought about those too. We are mixing the cheap food we got today with the FREE, normally expensive food we got at Petsmart last month. And we have a LITTLE dog, so she will be well fed probably for a year or more. LOL

Well I did a bit more stocking up. Did the Covergirl deal at CVS,and a few other items.

In the last 2 days I have spent $150 on groceries, etc. OUCH!! But I have a lot of stuff. Its not like that every month, we planned on major stocking up this month. Probably won't spend much next month I don't think. We are good on meat for a couple months now, that was the majority of my money this week. Just some fresh fish probably.

Is it just me or does anyone else find it HARD to spend extra money once you get into the stockpiling/couponing groove? I told dh today it seems like we spent a TON of money today. (ok it was about $70 lol). And yesterday at the commissary I spent about $80 and it seems like SOOO much. Which is funny because before couponing we spent over $100 a week (and that was at Walmart.)

Hey Jeweltea - when does the Lorton Farmers Market start back up? I can see that being part of our Sunday routine since its on the way home from church. Hopefully it will still be on Sundays.

Ok I'm rambling. Hope everyone is getting some of their stockpiling goals accomplished this month. If not we still have one more week! LOL

We go to the Farmer's Market in Dale City at the Commuter Lot (near the Giant) so I don't know about the Lorton one. The Dale City one is large and starts the middle of April every Sunday and it starts at 8:00 in the morning. Hard to believe we won't still have snow by then though. We try to go most weeks.

Oh ok. It probably ends around noon though right? Won't make it back in time from church.
I'll have to figure out where the Giant is and everything else. LOL

You guys are doing some awesome stockpiling this month! I just can't seem to get my new routine (driving the kids to/from school) down and the cold weather thing is making me want to just snuggle up at home with my laptop and read about the deals. Maybe next month I'll be more adjusted to my new life and be able to get out there and do some shopping. (I refuse to do stockpiling trips with the kids, they always end up costing me more!)

This is from last year, so I'm assuming this year Lorton's will open back up on May 2nd?

Thanks for the link. I hope the Lorton one is good. I went to the Kingstowne one last year. We just finished the last corn on the cob that I had frozen from then. Still yummy.

Well I won't be stockpiling TOO MUCH next month. We will be busy packing up and getting ready to move, and I have TONS of schoolwork to do in March, so will probably go back to the Living off the stockpile challenge. We stocked up on several things this month. And are out of room to put anything, so will have to wait until we move.

That is one lucky dog. Did you get these at BILO when they were free?
I thought I was doing well to get 9 bags. Great job

Yes I got them at Bi-lo, they were out of stock mostly all that week so I called them last week before I ordered coupons and they said it would be no problem. I even told them I was using coupons. I ordered my coupons, they ordered the dog food and then someone else kept coming in and getting the dog food I ordered. Finally on Monady I was able to get the dog food. I paid 15.88 for the coupons and I paid 14.92 for the dog food. My dogs do not seem to like this brand so I may not ever buy it for them again. Oh well they will eat all of this one though lol.
