I just got the March All You in the mail and there is a special "Meatless Meals" Booklet inside, but they are all fish related meals. (I don't eat fish anyways but this just struck me as strange)

Deep thinker - wandering Safeway today, I noticed that the tuna aisle is labeled "Canned Meats"

    OH The Pain!!!!!!!!!!!

Dh and I ventured out to shoprite today . First time out since before the snow.
I had a few coupon deals to get and some hot dog rolls for .99. Good price eh?

Dh said he had to buy gas anyway so lets go.

Well he just HAD to have that expensive pepperoni. and OH....LOOK at those steaks!!!!

    So....$46.68 oop today :(

Brings my total to $122.72 for the month.

    my goal is $100.00.

Well....maybe those rebates 'll come in.
Maybe there'll be some milk coupons and a sale soon.
Maybe there won't be a great catalina deal in my future wrought with temptation (but I hope so)

That is why I HATE when DH goes shopping with me......or asks for something specific like the latest ribeye fiasco. I feel your pain!

I'm feeling your pain on the impulse buys at SR--the prices are so good, it can be really hard to walk away. Months ago I was going to get some cut of beef when it was a fantastic price & there wasn't any out. So I went to the butcher's counter. I stood there for about 10 minutes watching the guy back there going out of his way to ignore me while he chatted with some repair guy and then he turned on the band saw to cut up something at which point I threw in the towel & left. He saved me $15 that day.

Just stopping in to report no oop. All expenses for the funeral came out of our savings. Another round of snow for tomorrow and Saturday so I don't foresee any oop until maybe Sunday.
