OK...I'm checking my stockpile for recipe ingredients for our Christmas Eve feast. My son has asked for my homemade caramel corn, so I know I'll need Karo syrup. I hardly ever use it, so the bottle I have is from a few years ago...at least! But there's no exp date on it. So I did a google search and found this, from their site:
ACH Food Companies, Inc., the conglomerate that owns and markets Karo syrup, says, "Karo syrup is safe to eat for an indefinite period of time whether it has been opened or not opened. Light corn syrup may turn slightly yellow with age, but this is normal and not harmful. Storage conditions affect product quality. Before or after opening, Karo syrup may be stored at room temperature. Bottles may be refrigerated after opening, however, the syrup will be thicker and slower to pour."

Good to know...I was going to buy some to make this awesome frosting that my mom used to make.I couldn't justify buying it for just one recipe-now that I know that it lasts 'forever'...
