    Ok I wanna play! I have never done this before, so it should be interesting!

    I have set my self a goal of $4000 for the year for everything~food, hba, home use items, entertainment (eating out, movies, etc). The only think that I will not be counting in this is our gas to school (70 miles round trip 5days a week) but will be counting "running to town gas" & "shopping trips" in it (15 miles either way).

    So unofficially my goal is $333 per month, but just for food, hba, actual stockpile items that count here, I am gonna go with half or $166.50. This will be for a family of 4. Myself, DH, DD, & DS. Of course he eats like 2 so I should say a family of 5 lol. Plus 3 dogs. We'll see!

    Yes yes me too.......2009 was rough all the way around, emotionally, financially (thanks everyone at hotcouponworld, it was a little better), mentally and was a physically exhausting year

    There have been some weeks over the past year, where after the basics were barely paid, or not paid as there at times wasnt even enough to pay those........those are the times we had 15-20$ for a whole pay period to cover diapers, dog food, cat food, kitty litter, food and household items that were needed. Without a stockpile (even if mine isnt very big) and without hcw, and the knowledge i have gained here, we never would have made it.

    heres to 2010 to be a better year then this was!!!!

    I really want to try this! We have so . . . much . . . food! So I'm in for $150! Technically I will be paying most of my groceries with Publix gift cards (yay for awesome Publix sweepstakes!) but I want to make those last as long as possible, so I will count my Publix totals as if I am paying oop. I also should have a ton of incoming rebates, but those will go into our Disney/special events fund. I think I can do groceries on $100, but dh likes to go out to lunch, so I have to account for that!
    So anything on a Publix gift card I will count as oop, but I'll treat other gift cards as a regular non-expense (most were Christmas gifts or bought with My Points, etc.)! I'm excited to see how I do!

    We are going to be very low on funds in January, so I'm only budgeting $50. Thankfully, our stockpile is pretty large at the moment. It's me, my DH, & our 19 year old & 8 year old boys. Oh, & 3 cats & one dog.

    Hey Everyone! I'm in for $200 for the month. I too am looking forward (hopefully) to my first time sucessfully staying under budget. I would love it to be much less, as I have 2 months to get our furnace paid off before a finance charge kicks in. I have $995 left to pay, $200 ready to mail out tomorrow, so 2 months to pay $795, so I am trying to cut everything to the bone. I plan to crank up some internet selling to help supplement, so we will see how that goes. I'm not crazy about the work involved in doing that, and it seems like my life is already super stressed, but we need the money, and I need to declutter, so hopefully it will work out. I want to apologize again to everyone for not keeping up my posting in October and November. I hope to keep up better in Janaury. Good luck everyone!

    2011 Savings Challenge $300/$1,000; 2011 Decluttering Challenge 106/2,011;
    February Stockpile Challenge $198.36/$200
