What do you think? Can I get through ONE month without having a family emergency that I have to go away for???? (don't hold your breath). I expect to have to go to my folks several times in the next 6 months, but dh did pretty good while I was gone last time and didn't buy too much. He actually did some of the WG and CVS deals for me.

I was WAY underbudget from Oct/Nov. -as of 12/15 - almost $245 under!!

So for January I'll say $200 is my goal as I do have to restock some items after being gone so much and I want to do some make-ahead meals so next time I have to rush out of town, I don't have to cook a bunch for dh before I leave.

That comes out to about $38 a week so I am in for $152 for the month.

Good luck on that goal!! I was really tempted to set a goal of $2010 in 2010 too...but thats about 1/3 less than we spend now, and I would have to give dh his own "goodies" budget if I did that. He has to have bottled water, Crystal light, soda, fancy coffee.

With so much going on next year (parents in poor health, a move, maybe me going back to work fulltime and my schoolwork) dh said not to put that added pressure on myself, and we will stick with our same budget.

But I might make it my unofficial goal to see how close I can get to that...who knows.
