HAPPY DANCE I think that's the closest I'll ever get....

to DH admitting he's proud of the deals I've gotten. This past weekend we had friends over. One of those friends ALWAYS goes straight to the pantry (he's a bottomless pit). Before BP friend went to the pantry for the first time an evening, DH announced "You guys, go look in the pantry!" They ooo'ed and ahhh'ed and DH again announced "You wouldn't believe what Amy saved on all that stuff!" You could detect a slight hint of pride in his voice, though he never outright said it. I'll take it! He's not one to offer "good job"s or "that's awesome"s.
FWIW, my stockpile is not very big, as I only started a month ago, but our pantry has NEVER been this full in the five years we've been married and we typically run out of things that we need the most (paper towels, oatmeal for DD, etc), resulting in doing without or making a trip to the store and buying it for full price, therefore draining our already drained pockets. Thank you, HCW for furthering my (somewhat limited) knowledge of stockpiling. I can't wait to make mine bigger!!!
(I tried getting a picture of it, but the top shelf of my pantry is too high--I'm really short lol--so pictures will have to wait, I suppose, for now.)

That's got to feel really good that he's finally appreciating your efforts. And this is after only a month! Imagine how he will feel after you've been doing this for a year!
