Stockpiling basic clothing
My family has reaped the benefits of stockpiling food and non food products so now we're evaluating other possibilities. Clothing and basic auto needs come to mind.
I'm just getting started and wonder if anyone has any experience with stockpiling clothing in particular.
What things stockpile well? I can figure out to pick up socks, underwear, pantyhose and flip flops. I need ideas to help me think a little further along this line.
How did you come up with good ways to get cash for clothing stockpile? I have a budget category for clothing that I use. Also: whenever I get a $10.00 off any purchase at a depatment store, I try to use it on basic clothing. So far I've gotten several at JCPenny and Kohl's. I'm assuming I get these coupons because I have store charge cards. What other stores send out these kind of high-value coupons?
I'm not stockpiling for a growing child--just adults and one (lovely) teen.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Re: Stockpiling basic clothing
a couple weeks ago, when target had the motts giftcard deal, i did a deal (the money came out of the grocery budget and then used the 5$ g/c in another transaction to pay for some clearanced summer clothes items for my ds and undershirts that he needed. I could have rolled the g/c for another deal, but i really don't shop at target much and don't have a lot of extra room in the budget for stockpiling clothes, so i thought this would be good way to get items i needed now (juice), at a good price and also items for later that I would have to pay full price for if i waited to buy (clothes).
If you have a jc penney outlet nearby, they are a good option, i get good coupons from them from time to time, I just got a 25% off everything in the store coupon for this weekend, and i often get 10$ off 25 shoe coupons from them.
If you have a gordman's nearby, sign up for their email updates, I get emailed coupons for an extra 20-25% off any item occasionally and i also get updates on when they have extra 33%-50% off clearance events. Last year around this time i got a ton of women's clothes for xmas and for myself, I got shirts for 1-3$ and pants for 3-4$ each, i saved a bundle then.
stay up-to-date on current online promotions, through deal sites and blogs. there was a recent promotion, online at a clothing store for 15 off 15 or more, you just had to pay shipping(didn't do the deal, and can't remember the name of store atm, maybe metrostyle?)

eta: kohl's and jcpenny are the only stores i get the 10/10 type coupons from too, i don't have charge cards with them, i just signed up on the website.

Re: Stockpiling basic clothing
Meijer (and maybe some other stores) run deals this time of the year for socks, underwear, and bras. This week there is a deal on Hanes - buy three items, get $10 off instantly. For underwear and socks it was about $6.50/pk., which makes them about $9.50 for three packs of adult sizes. These are items that I don't see on sale very often. I remember them being on a similar type deal last year. I'm hoping Fruit of the Loom will run a similar deal though I'm not sure if they do or not. I'll keep the packages until we need one (all adults here) then bring out what I need. I've also picked up some clothes from yard sale and second hand stores. Several t-shirts and sweaters that looked brand new for $.25 or $.50 each. I'm not a big yard sale person but picked up several of these when I saw them. This week I picked up a skit from a second hand store that was moving and had marked everything 50% off. The skirt cost me $1.25.
PM me when you post on the DB, I'll respond faster.
