I have been trying to stay away from the stores.

For breakfast we had cold cereal, milk, and fresh pineapple.
I made some cookies using the refrigerated dough I have on hand.
I also made the egg and sausage casserole from stockpile items.

For lunch, DS2 and I had leftovers.

I also took out some barbecue meatballs to warm up in the crockpot for when the hunters arrive home.

Not sure what I am doing for dinner just yet.
But I do need to pick up some milk when I go pick-up DS1 from school.

Made a quick run to Fareway last night and spent $6.57...got 10 boxes of BC potatoes, 5 packs of Marcal TP and a box of oven bags. I also got a rebate in the mail for $2.98. I need to go get milk at some point...I'm hoping I can put it off til later this weekend though...I have enough to worry about with hosting a Thanksgiving on Sunday night and helping to host (though not at my house, thank goodness) a surprise birthday party for my dad on Saturday night. Looks like the rest of my day will consist of baking cakes, prepping Thanksgiving food and LOTS of house cleaning

No, I want them done but firm not mushy and not crunchy. Any suggestions on how to precook the taters? :shrug7:I don't want to have to buy hashbrowns when I have all them taters sittin' there.

If you grate the potatoes with the cheese grater you wouldn't have to buy any..:shrug7: and you could use up all the potatoes you have on hand.

Shred them maybe?? Then they would be just like hashbrowns.

Hey everybody, just getting caught back up on the posts. One of my fellow office workers has been on vacation, so I have had to do her job and mine, so it's been incredibly busy. I'm just now getting some down time to read up on all the posts I have missed. Glad to hear the crisco was a good deal. I went ahead and went for it. I got 5 bottles. I hope I'm not sorry I didn't get more. I'm pretty well stocked for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I still need a sugar deal, and I have to get cranberries yet, but I'm getting there. I priced matched Target's Butterball price at Wal-Mart this week, so I got a butterball for 88 cents a pound. Not the smoking .40 cents a pound some of you all got, but it was the best I could do. I also am needing a deal on butter flavored crisco shortening. I need it for my pies.

You're all right. If you go on a 2 month spending rampage like me, and have close to $400 spent, then you can worry!

    I went out shopping today.

Wal Mart -$25 saved $17.50 will submit for $5 rebate
    Publix- $18.26 saved almost $50

We have a baby sitter (my mom) for a while tonight Hubs goes on this little complaining spree every few months about how it's been too long since I dressed up yadda yadda... So I came home from shopping and put ds down for his nap and got all 'gussied' up (I love you cjpsmom :) I don't think I'll be hearing any complaining tonight Dusted off the knee high boots, pulled out an almost too tight halter dress, went a little heavier than normal on the eye make up and straightend my hair just the way he likes it. If he's not drooling he's going to get slapped lol. Now the only problem is I still have to go pick dd up from school... didn't think this one out so well.

Haven't done much shopping this week but I do need to get in and take stock this weekend for Thanksgiving. I won't need much, just the fresh veggie kind of stuff. I'm going to try out some recipes using all my free carnation milk instead of the real milk so hopefully it all turns out ok!

Received $9.88 from auctions today, whoot!
