I need help getting back in the loop, and this was great help. For some reason I could not see this in the ad. I actually had to do a search of the ad, but I finally pulled it up. Now I just need the meters and the flour to be there tomorrow! Sending reps your way!

| Re: NOVEMBER challenge: Living Off Of Your Stockpile. Weak ones, we're done with week 1! Just thought I would report in on Wal-Mart. The best they had was Butterballs for .99 cents a pound. Will keep going back each day to see if the situation changes. I did find the Purina Natural Cat treats there which I had been searching for-free coupons, so it was a good trip. What do you guys think is a stock up price for vegetable oil, and shortening? WM had Crisco oil for $2, would be $1.45 after .55 cent off coupon. Is this low enough to go for? I can't recall ever seeing it cheaper, but we don't always get the smoking deals here in smallville. |

| Re: NOVEMBER challenge: Living Off Of Your Stockpile. Weak ones, we're done with week 1! ended up going out for supper tonight...we were planning all day on going to our favorite local pizza place (one of our family friends owns it and she is a sweetheart and we haven't been there to visit in forever) but a few friends called and wanted us to go for mexican with them, so we ended up doing that instead. Total OOP was $22.00 after tip and bill. Which brings my new total to $89.15 . Otherwise, no OOP today. Just stayed home and did nothing. Original plan was to clean, but I ended up baking some muffins and a pan of Rice Krispie treats and just kind of bumming instead.
Today's Meals...
Breakfast - I had oatmeal, hubs had cereal
Lunch - I had leftover soup...I'm not really sure if hubs ate or not now that I think about it...
Supper - out with friends...
Snacks - RK bars, muffin, bowl of RK, roll of lifesavers I found in the back of my stockpile (they must've been old too. they were a little gooey ) |

| Re: NOVEMBER challenge: Living Off Of Your Stockpile. Weak ones, we're done with week 1! Need to report in for yesterday and today, did Kroger megadeals again but all OOP >10% once again! I dragged my DD with me and stocked up her pantry and freezer as well. Ate in all weekend but still managed to top off the freezers again after my shopping trip today, argh!
I need to start planning my meals for the week like all of you do, was doing it on the fly last week but I think I'll feel better once I have a gameplan.
I may do a couple more Kroger deals just to get TP, had to give some of what I got last week to DD, she was running low at her apartment. Don't think I'll make the 10% rule though, I'm almost out of Rolaids Q's!
Hope everyone had a good weekend!

I was at Aldi today and the canola oil that I use is $2.29 for the 48 oz. bottle. I always base my prices on Aldis prices as they are the cheapest in the area. If I can get it cheaper than them I go for it. |
