Had to buy dog food, no sale anywhere, no coupon. I didn't even buy the larger back to pay less per lb.

Dog food 12.32
Bananas .94
Total including tax $14.13

Added to my previous $1.25

Monthly spending $15.38

I am having one of those weeks where I wish a bottle of wine counted as a prescription so it wouldn't count towards my total!

Where is the deal on paper towels? I'm getting really low, but, I'm sure it's not a store I have...few of them discussed here ever are...
Spent 2.16 for lunch today and 2.00 for lunch yesterday.

cdarrow, the paper towel deal is at ACME .
I think they are affiliated with 'savon' and 'albertsons' if you have any of those near you.

Yes, you have found the support group, right here
This is the problem...
once you understand the way couponing works, and how the store cycles run,
it is fairly easy to keep up your stockpile
AND
spend less than 10%.

I think thickbluebug is attempting to slow that down beginning this month -
counting EVERYTHING she spends,
and having a maximum of $1000. retail.

I am right there with you in some respects though.
DH said today that if he sees me bring home another can of Hormel chili,
he himself will take a trip over to "your food pantry"
and he is on the stingy side.
(We still have chili left over from the last time Kroger had it in their mega deal sale.)

Well we were completely out of milk so DH told me to just leave the boys with him and go do my shopping. A trip to the store without at least one little one in tow.

Safeway spent 65.57 savings of 51%. But I am actually not too down about this one. I don't have a stockpile of many items yet so we were completely out of several things. But when I got home I realized the cashier forgot to deduct the mark down on the OJ I bought and didn't give me the reuseable bag discount . I almost walked out without my Cats but went back for those. He had a portable heater up against the cat machine blowing on him and so the cat q's were trapped going up and over the front of his heater (talk about a fire hazard!). I'm just glad I remembered before I got outside in the rain!

DS1 hasn't gotten sick again since this morning (just one bout). So hopefully he is fine now. DH's sister and her family are coming over for dinner tomorrow so I will throw a roast in the crock pot in the morning and make potatoes, gravy and vegies to go with that as well. Ooooo just realized I should pull a thing or 2 of bisquits out of the freezer to make as well. Her family can eat!

I even got to take a nap today . Now if only I could get some more stuff done around the house. I need to move a dresser from upstairs to the lower level but DH's back is bothering him again. I guess that will have to wait.

OK enough rambling . Have a good night all!

rolled it for one last sweet mega sale deal at 11pm tonight lol.. 07

Last two were under 10%.

Also, Michaels craft store halloween clearance 8.16
got some super cute stuff for next year.

Did spend just under 50 bux at Pier One for a housewarming gift, but its my bday next saturday and I will replace it in my gift spending stash with some bday money I get.

HOLY COW---I have to know how someone made 1400 in two days with a yard sale???
