I don't have pictures, but I use most of the room to stockpile meats, seafood, meatless patties and vegetables. I use the room on the door for canned juices, bacon, sausage, imitation crab and green giant boxed veggies. The bottom of my freezer (it's an upright) has a pull out basket. It's where I put the veggies. Top shelf is for beef and pork. 2nd shelf is for chicken and seafood, 3rd shelf is for meatless stuff, and any other boxed items (fish sticks, frozen snacks, eggos, etc.)

Not sure if I helped, but that works for me.

I would love to see pics, too. Mine is so unorganized... The only thing in there right now is Tennessee Pride sausage gravy. Free at Kroger, of course!

We ate down our stock before moving, and now it is unorganized, so I dont think I will take a photo, plus there isn't much to share.

What is NORMALLY in my freezer:
    OAMC meals
The second casserole from a double batch
    meat
    meat
    meat
    hotdogs
    meat
    ;)
    waffles
frozen veggies (freshlike taste almost as good as fresh so we stock up)
    bread items from sales
    yoplus
extra banana bread from my 6 loaf recipe

That's all I can think of for now

Thanks to all the posts above...I know I need meat; I just have to figure out what good stockpile prices are in my area...learning curve here.

Right now, I have a 20cu ft upright with 3 Tyson Chicken, 20+ lean pockets, 4 boxes of eggos, 1 2nd cassorole, 9 Kraft Natural Cheese packs and 16 GG veggies. I pulled this all out of my freezer in the kitchen. Needless to say I have lots of room left and need ideas on how to maximize my freezer savings:shrug7:

The two items that peak my curiosity from your list is hot dogs and bread. How long can you keep hot dogs frozen past their exp date? and then once you defrost, how fast do you have to eat them.

Bread - do you just throw the in or repackage? Does it taste just as good once defrosted.

I've got a lot of bread. Hamburger, chicken, sausage, bacon, ham, ice cream. I also have frozen dinner type things that DH takes to work for lunch

We live out in the country now...so I'm in search for purchasing a 1/2 a cow or a 1/4th of a cow to fill up the freezer with.

    Thanks!

Do you just throw the sandwich meats in there or do you repackage them? How are they when they defrost and how fast do you have to eat them after defrosting?

I feel like I have so much to learn...

I would take pics, but I have a chest freezer so all you would see is what is on top

I can give you my inventory sheet if you would like?

I don't have pics of mine either...but I stockpile bags and boxes of frozen veggies when they are free or nearly free after qs. I keep those in one of the baskets and many more in my freezer over the fridge. I stock up on ground sausage and ground turkey in the .99 cent sales. They go in my other freezer basket and I keep about a dozen in the inside freezer. I have pork chops and pork roasts (.98/lb stock up price) chicken leg quarters (.39 - .59 stock up price) ground beef or ground chuck (sometimes .99/lb but, usually $1.25 to $1.50/lb stock up) and boneless skinless chicken (.99/lb best stock price, but usually closer to $1.50 or $1.75.) I also have a turkey and ham from Easter or Holiday sales/coupons and 4 roaster chickens. Above the meat, I keep bread from our Aunt Millie's Outlet. I get bagels, buns, 35 calorie bread, pitas, dinner rolls and whatever else I can find on the .49 table and freeze them until we need them. I think a freezer is one of the best investments for your stockpiling and grocery savings. We never, ever pay full price for meat or bread.
