Definitely a learning experience, though, and I will keep tracking this month. Now that I see where and how fast the $$ go, I will sign up again for November to see what happens!
Quick summary:
CVS: $14.97 for pull-ups and Splenda
Acme: $13.72 for peanuts, bananas, glad wrap, ziploc bags and Glade candles (saved $39.41, got a $2 cat, and will mail in the SC Johnson rebate - so the candles and Ziploc bags net out free)
Acme: $2.84 for 10 boxes of Quaker chewy granola bars. We are SO stocked.
Trader Joes: $52.98 But in my defense, it's pumpkin butter season. i had to go in.
Damage: $84.51 (yikes!)
Balance for the month: $249.56/$200
eepie! | So sorry to hear about your loss.

Would love to help with the organization question, but right now mine are in piles throughout the office. I just can't seem to find a good total organization method. I do however have an accordian style filer that I keep in my shoulder tote(with notebook, pens, scissors, calculator and the weeks ads) with all the "planned" purchases and frees. My DS also keeps his with his q's in the tote and we take it into every store.

| Re: OCTOBER challenge: Living Off Of Your Stockpile. HALF-WAY!!!!! No oop today! There was also no mail or sun. It was chilly and blah here all day but they promise the 60's are coming back. I am having a real hard time with the ex again. I don't like to air alot of my dirty laundry but I am really considering starting a thread in HUTC mainly for some ideas on how to deal with the ex. I just can't stand what he is doing to DS's and legally I can't do a dang thing about it. Also got another job rejection. I tell ya I can see how so many turn to alcohol/drugs or other addictions. It's like swimming with sharks. The one I truely feel sorry for is my SO. Right now it is all on him and I don't like that. |

| Re: OCTOBER challenge: Living Off Of Your Stockpile. HALF-WAY!!!!! It feels like its been several weeks since I coupon shopped, just picking up necessities since the deals have not been worth it to me. Well that ended today. I had a great Publix trip, all things I was getting low on and holding out for a kick butt deal on. It is so true, the deal will come around, just be patient.
Publix:
10 bottles fabric softner
18 tubes toothpaste
20 packages smoked sausage
Total before sales and q: $157.51
OOP: $13.70 < 10%
The smoked sausage was costing me about $.50 each, I believe the last time I stocked it was about a buck each. I am sooooo tempted to go back and get maybe 10 more at a buck each. I only had 10 of the $1/2 manu q's but the Publix $1/1 are unlimited...what would you do? My family loves angel hair pasta, veggies, smoked sausage, and butter/garlic. I have tons of angel hair pasta, frozen veggies, and of course, smart balance butter...quick and easy CHEAP meal.
Then I went to Winn Dixie to get oranges and bananas for DS's football field since that was the best sale and got:
2 loaves bread
bunch of bananas
2 bags pork rinds
1 bottle orange juice
OOP was $9.90

I say go back and get some more

| Re: OCTOBER challenge: Living Off Of Your Stockpile. HALF-WAY!!!!! Hootie hoo! No OOP today I also got two $5 rebate checks in the mail today, as well as a train envie! So that makes my new total $81.03. Other than that...I lead a dull life. Nothing new to report. Except that I officially "feel pregnant" now because a) My tummy seems to have "popped out" last night (one of my 4 year olds at work looked at me today and said "hey! you like, POPPED OUT last night!!" she was in awe with my new little baby belly!) and b) I can't get enough of these pickles that I discovered in our fridge!! Anyways. Today's Meals... Breakfast - Special K Lunch - Leftover Beef Stew Supper - Hot Dog, (still more) leftover beef stew (I'm sooo ready for hubs to be back from his business trip so I can stop living on leftovers!) Snacks - Special K by the handfuls , pickles |

I have the same deal going on at Albertsons but mine totally base on sale price and the least I can do oop is $5 or more.
I wish I live in the Acme land. Where are these stores locate at? I want to move.....
TIA
