Well here is my tentative menu plan for the next few weeks. Subject to change after I go get an ultrasound on my gall bladder next week..lol. These are in no particular order. I am a substitute teacher so I never know from day to day if I'm working, so meals are rearranged according to my work schedule. Except for the S'more supplies, I think I have everything in the stockpile.

Breakfast - dh has slimfast, or something like that, I have cereal, oatmeal or toast usually
Lunch - dh takes leftovers or he has a supply of Hormel Compleats, I have whatever is in the fridge or I eat a school lunch if subbing

-Sunday we have a church dinner so meat is provided, I'm making creamed corn in the crockpot and a broccoli casserole
-Chicken in the crockpot (w/ some kind of marinade), creamed spinach and rice or a pasta side.
-Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans or corn on the cob
-Grilled tilapia with either Salt free lemon pepper seasoning or Trader Joes 21 season salute, rice or pasta side, greens
-pasta - I'm thinking lasagna roll-ups w/ spinach, spaghetti sauce w/ some Sneaky chef orange puree (pureed sweet potatoes and carrots) (hubby doesn't eat sweet potatoes or many cooked carrots but will eat it when he doesn't know its in the sauce..hehe)
    -Breakfast for dinner
-camping food for 3 nights - steaks, chicken or ribs?, burgers. Veggies, etc. Smores for dessert. (going to the mountains on Columbus day weekend)
-Thursday nights we grab food either on the way to or at the bowling alley since we are on a league and no time to eat at home
    - leftovers at least once, probably twice since I still haven't learned to cook for just the 2 of us - always leftovers

Thats it....and subject to change at any time.

I do have to start the month out spending a little bit tomorrow for just a few items I need for the weekend meal at church.

Well I am proud of myself. I have a doctor's appointment for my 20 month old tomorrow morning early. I have to leave by 6:30am and so I made myself a sandwich to eat in the car and the coffee pot is ready to go with my travel mug beside it so I will resist the temptation to go through a drive-thru for food tomorrow morning. Which would only delay me anyway! Off to bed since I have to get up much too early for my taste...

    Wow, 30 months!

    I am in for Oct.

I have to rotate my freezers again in time for the Dec meat sales.

    I have:

    • $38 in rr

    • $14 ecb's

    • kmart expecting $30 in gc's to come in

    • unknown on a few wags gc (around 40) We did 18 transactions between 3 stores today and haven't balanced them yet.

    • unknown on a few ra gc (about 20) and expecting $25 in mirs from ra

    • unknown on a few publix gc (several shopping trips and haven't gotten them to balance at customer service)

    • unknown on several cvs gc's

    • 2 paypal accts with less than $50 in each....this is how I trade my q's and get more q's

    • have about $300 in mirs I am expecting in the next 6 weeks.

I trade my stockpile for cash and have occasional yard sales for gas money to replenish my funds.

Like cody - I expect my depression to keep me home in Oct.

    My goal is zero oop
rotate a shelf of meat and a shelf of veggies in the freezer..yep, means someone will be cooking and the drive thru's will me missing us again this month

    Menu:
    roast,
shrimp not sure if it's coconut or grilled
    grilled dogs and burgers
    beans and veggies

Oooh I would like to try this. There's 3 in our family me, DH, and teenage DS(AKA bottomless pit) My goal is $25 a week for groceries, and eating out. That means DS will have to brown bag it for lunch. I'm excited I've been wanting to clean out my cupboards.

Good Morning Everybody!!! I am in a sunshiney mood this morning for some reason. Probably because I am determined to do better on my goals this month. Planning to stay home and clean today and dh took leftovers for lunch so should be no OOP today. We'll probably eat out a few times this month because we have a lot planned but I'm ok with that since I have no reason to spend much on groceries this month.

    Resources
    6 ecbs
$7.97 on a CVS gift gard
$5 Subway gift card (this counts right?)

One of my brothers has been here for the past 3 days helping DH with a side job, so I am sending him home with 2 bags of food items on top of his wages.

I have made a small list for Kroger and KMart for my shopping today. If all goes as planned it will be less than 10%. I will report later.

Have to drop DS1 early to school then rush to the city for an MRI on my breast. (Prayers and positive thoughts are appreciated.)

Sounds like my dh. The first year or so we were together he constantly owed over the limit fees to the bank. He would never right anything down and just go to the ATM and check balances. He was 17/18 at the time so I guess maybe I should cut him a little slack. I finally got fed up and took over our finances and in over 7 years have only goofed up twice.

In case anyone's trying to do the math... We started dating right after our 15th and 17th birthdays married right after our 16 th and 18th. We're now 24 and 26 with an 8yo and a 2 yo. I wouldn't go back and change anything if I could. We were broke and clueless starting out but we have been very blessed. Ok sorry for my morning rambling
